    One word: quotability.

This game is SPECTACULAR for many many reasons such as the massive number of enemies to whallop and excellent bosses with a practically unrivaled character selection (c'mon, who can beat four giant mutant ninja turtles?), but the winning factor for me must be the quotability. Think about all the things they say in the game that you repeat over and over again, even after you stop playing.

E.g. "Pizza time!", "Ohh, shellshock!", "Big Apple, 3 a.m.", "My toe, my toe!", and others. Great quotability makes this game most excellent. Basically, even if you don't enjoy kicking foot soldier asses and throwing them at Shredder, or even fighting with DINOSAURS (isn't that awesome?), you can still enjoy yourself by quoting it over and over again with your friends and then laughing about it uproariously.

    Turtle Power!"

Keep in mind that for this review I will be reviewing this game for the Super Nintendo System. I have played the arcade version but only a few times, I feel that reviewing it for the SNES is more fair since I am not an authority on the Arcade Version.

You play as any of the four turtles, Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo, or Raphael. Shredder and Krang steal the Statue of Liberty. In order to rescue the statue, the turtles are sent through time to different time periods and have to fight your way through enemies to beat each level. Each level has a different boss at the end.

This game is lots of fun. For one thing, it can be a one or a two player game. So you can have fun playing it by yourself or with a friend. Personally I think this game is much funner if you share the experience with someone else, but it is fun by yourself as well.

The controls are very simple and easy.

The main enemies you fight, foot soldiers, are not that tough. So this game is quite easy even on the difficult setting.

ALso what makes this game great is that all of the great turtle enemies are in it. KRang, Shredder, Leatherhead, Metalhead, Rat King, Baxter Stockman, Tokka, Rahzar, Bebop, Slash, and Rocksteady. That is great because you get to battle against all of the enemies that were in the show as well as in the films.

Each turtle has its strengths. Leonardo is well balanced in weoponry, speed, special, and defense. Michaelangelo has pretty good speed and great weoponry, but his defense is lacking. Raphael has great speed but his defense is lacking also. Donatello has a great weopon and special however his speed is bad. So each turtle has advantages and disadvantages.

So this is a very simple and highly entertaining game. Highly recommended.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is one of the most unique fighting video games! The characters, the action, and the sure thrill of excitement makes this game a fun non-stop playing time! Below is a brief look how I think the game is!

Game Play: The game play is very good. There is really basic controls here and is easy to perform. Novice gamers should have a good time here!

Graphics: The graphics are wonderful especially for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis Systems! The backgrounds are really beautiful!

Difficulty: The game is easy but as it goes on you find out that it will become more difficult!

Music: The music is great! Just fantastic catchy tunes through out the game! In My opinion its some of the best music ever in a video game!

Sound: The sound is great. Nuff said!

Overall: I have always loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time! If you like excellent flying adventure up games then I strongly recommend you play this game!

    GREAT AND FUN GAME!

This fun is awesome! This has to be one of my favorite games to play with the sound up really loud. I love the gameplay. It may be easy at some points, but it's fun no matter what. Nothing wrong with it being a little easy either. I love the way you can throw the foot soilders towards the screen. That's one of my favorite things to do. It's cool how when you fight shreadder that you have to try and hit him with the foot soilders. I so wish they could make a game like this one for systems today. A game like this in 3D would be the coolest thing ever made. However, 2D still does work fine for this great and fun game. 10+ TO ME!

For all you big TMNT fans also, i am so excited that they are making yet ANOTHER TMNT movie! It's going to be fully computer animated (like the new FINAL FANTASY movie) but what's better! is that the famous, and great action movie director JOHN WOO is writing and directing it! For all you fans, especially for me, it's the best thing ever. To have a great story that i loved since i was little to be made by one of the coolest film makers i've ever seen! keep an eye out for it

    • Goofs
The instruction manual for the game's SNES port falsely claims that a box of pizza will cost the players a life. They actually fully replenish a player's health bar when obtained.
