A Cinderella Story sequel may not work due to the challenge of repeating the original story with the same characters. Chad Michael Murray's return in a potential Freaky Friday 2 would be more believable and fun for viewers. Not all rom-coms and teen movies necessarily need a sequel, per Murray's realistic idea for a Cinderella Story follow-up.
Chad Michael Murray has made his return to rom-coms with Mother of the Bride, and he has a great idea for a sequel to one of his most popular rom-coms, but its a tricky one to pull off. Chad Michael Murray became a teen icon in the 2000s thanks to different roles on TV and film, beginning with his time on Gilmore Girls as Tristin DuGray. After a minor role in the religious sci-fi movie Megiddo: The Omega Code 2 in 2001, Murray was cast as Jake in Disneys Freaky Friday, starring alongside...

All the Warwick Davis Leprechaun movies are coming out in a new Blu Ray combo pack. The commentary tracks offer some memories of my two contributions to the guilty pleasure franchise. Here are a few more.
I grew up enjoying the absurdist humor of the Monty Python’s Flying Circus TV series. So why not Absurdist Cinema? I loved the 1941 Hellzapoppin’, an early iconic example. The concept of the mid ’90’s Leprechaun franchise was proudly ludicrous – pint sized Jason/Freddy/Chucky amalgam with an Irish twist terrorizes and kills most of the supporting cast. But he was never really scary. I decided to embrace the absurd and make it as much fun as the formula allowed.
Blue Rider Pictures, for whom I had made Night Of The Demons 2, were asked by Trimark to produce the third and, at that stage, the intended last in the series. Send the little guy to Vegas,...

Thousands of horror fans invaded the Hyatt-Regency Hotel at the Dfw Airport on May 2, 3, and 4 for 2014's annual Texas Frightmare Weekend. The three day event boasts one of the largest gatherings of genre celebrities in the Southern United States. It's a hotspot for enthusiasts looking to meet their favorite actors and buy the latest and hard-to-find collectibles the terror industry has to offer.
Texas Frightmare Weekend took place on one level of the Hyatt-Regency Hotel. You would think that an event boasting high-profile guests like Tobin Bell (the Saw movies), Linda Hamilton (the Terminator movies), and Night of the Living Dead creator George A. Romero would cause a riot or crowd catastrophe in such a small area. However, lines to greet the celebrities were well-organized. You may have stood in them for five hours to meet someone, but you at least knew where you needed to be and go.

Darren Aronofsky's Noah may take a few liberties with the Bible, but it's still not as big a cinematic sin as. Megiddo: The Omega Code 2 (2001) Director: Brian Trenchard-Smith Stars: Michael York, Michael Biehn, R. Lee Ermey Only one man can stop the Antichrist and save the world from Armageddon. No, not Jesus.Michael Biehn. How come God keeps letting people make terrible movies in his name? You'd think an omnipotent being would smite anyone adapting his works in to...

The Christian movie is a strange, mixed-up genre. Artful (Bresson, Tarkovsky, Pasolini), artless (Fireproof, Courageous, most Tyler Perry dramas) or certifiably crazy (C Me Dance), it's all over the map. And when the Book of Revelation is the text informing your screenplay you wind up with Left Behind or, if you're really lucky, Megiddo: The Omega Code 2 with Michael York as Satan, zapping people to death and vomiting bees. Obviously, this is the perfect place for Jewish stoner Seth Rogen. Along with cowriter-codirector Evan Goldberg (Superbad), Rogen has created a combo platter Rapture/Apocalypse that cares infinitely less about sweeping devastation (the digital demons and monsters are strictly cheapo, the repeated shots of the burning Hollywood Hills a drinking game in...

Image Entertainment, Inc. is proud to announce the launch of a new label, Slingshot Pictures. The line will focus exclusively on faith-based titles and be managed by industry veteran Suzette Schafer who has been hired as Senior Vice President. The Slingshot Pictures brand will premiere in November according to Image Entertainment Chief Acquisitions Officer Bill Bromiley.
"With a current estimate of $4.5 billion annually, the faith-based market continues to grow and, at present, is underserved," commented Bromiley. "With the addition of Suzette and her vast knowledge of this market, we have identified several films that we feel are perfect for audiences and will continue to add more films to the label's library."
"I'm excited to be launching this new label for Image Entertainment," said Suzette Schafer, Senior Vice President, Specialty Product. "It is our goal to acquire films that have strong family values, messages of hope and are life affirming as well as spiritually enriching.

Actress Kristen Stewart’s upcoming film, Snow White and the Huntsman, has finally cast Snow White’s father. I was rather impressed by the concept art we previewed for the fairy tale film. Not only does Snow White get to wear armor, but the Huntsman, also known as actor Chris Hemsworth, is looking great in brown hair, a transition for Thor‘s blonde tresses. The last we heard, Lily Cole was signing on to act in the film, but now Noah Huntley joins her.
Huntley has acted in The Mists of Avalon as Gawain, in Megiddo: The Omega Code 2, in the Midsomer Murders episode called, “Who Killed Cock Robin”, in the Where the Heart Is episode called, “Don’t Let Go,” and in 28 Days Later. Now, he will act as Snow White’s father according to a Tweet from producer Palak Patel.

Brian (Bk) grew up near DC watching horror movies, westerns and action flicks and to this day his thirst for genre material is insatiable. He quit his job in 2007 and moved to Austin, TX because he loved the Alamo Drafthouse so much. His favorite director is Brian Trenchard-Smith (all the way from The Man from Hong Kong to Megiddo: The Omega Code 2 and beyond) and collects DVDs, movie posters and other memorabilia much to the chagrin of his wallet. He enjoys talking and writing about movies and watches them as often as possible. Brian has an unhealthy obsession with Asian culture. If he could have one wish it would be that Fantastic Fest was everyday of the year (and he didn't have to have a job… and he never got tired… okay, that's 3 but they are really sub-wishes of the first one). Brian welcomes you to follow him on Twitter (http://twitter.
