However, after a “big announcement,” the duo won’t appear with their co-anchor, George Stephanopoulos.

Strahan delivered the big news during Thursday’s GMA episode, indicating that he and Roberts were departing right after the show.

Roberts is absent on many Fridays, while Strahan is typically absent on Mondays throughout the NFL season to perform his analyst job at Fox NFL Sunday.

The Producers Guild of America has announced its 2025 PGA Awards nominations across film and TV categories.

For the guild’s top film prize, the Daryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, the nominees are Anora, The Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, A Real Pain, September 5, The Substance and Wicked.

The guild had initially planned to announce its film and TV nominees last Friday but the announcement was postponed twice, first to Sunday, Jan. 12 and then to “next week” amid the wildfires raging across Los Angeles.

The guild also extended its voting window after the fires broke out last week, giving members until Saturday to vote on this year’s nominees.

The Producers Guild has also established a fund, in partnership with the Entertainment Community Fund, to support producers affected by the fires.

The American Cinema Editors (Ace) announced the nominees for the 75th Annual Ace Eddie Awards, representing the best editing in films, television, and documentaries in 2024. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and Civil War will be competing alongside awards season favorites Conclave, Dune: Part Two, and Emilia Perez in the best drama film category. Wicked and The Substance compete in the comedy film category, along with Anora, Challengers, and A Real Pain.

Wicked‘s director Jon M. Chu will be recognized with the Ace Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award, an honorary award given to a filmmaker who “exemplifies distinguished achievement in the art and business of film.” Maysie Hoy and Paul Hirsch will receive Career Achievement Awards during the 2025 Ace Eddie Awards ceremony.

Conclave, Dune: Part Two and Emilia Perez are among the drama feature film nominees while Anora, Challengers and The Substance were part of the comedy film nominees. In the TV categories, Only Murders in the Building, Fallout, Nobody Wants This and Shogun were nominated, among many others.

In the documentary categories, films Jim Henson Idea Man and Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story received nods, while series The Jinx – Part Two and Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV were nominated.

Winners will be announced on Jan. 18, 2025 at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles, California.

Ridley Scott’s plans to work with Paul Mescal again might be on hold, thanks to the Beatles.

During a conversation with fellow filmmaker Christopher Nolan that followed a screening of Scott’s latest title, Gladiator II, at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Scott said that he plans for his next project to be the thriller feature The Dog Stars. When Nolan asked if Mescal is set to star in the film, given that this had been recently reported, Scott confirmed this as true before correcting himself and explaining that Mescal’s schedule may prevent the Gladiator II pair from reuniting on the new film. According to Scott, the actor is set to star in Sony Pictures’ Beatles movies for director Sam Mendes.

Alisyn Camerota is signing off from CNN for good, announcing her departure after 10 years with the news network.

The 2x Emmy-nominated broadcast journalist shared the announcement on Sunday, ahead of what will be her final broadcast at 4:50pm Et, after she joined CNN in 2014 and co-anchored New Day, as well as co-hosting CNN Newsroom and CNN Tonight.

“Big News, Everyone! — today is my last day on CNN,” she wrote on Instagram. “Tune in at 4:50p (et) for my sign off. Keep it here for updates!”

Camerota shared a heartfelt statement during the broadcast. “Before we go on this very busy news day, I just wanted to take a moment to share some personal news. This is my last day on air at CNN,” she began.
