Trivia

Royal Rumble

Edit
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper replaced Bret "The Hitman" Hitman Hart in the WWF Intercontinental Championship against The Mountie. In kayfabe, Bret's temperature was 102 degrees and was too sick to wrestle on the day of the event. In reality, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bret believed his WWF contract was up, and was talking a guaranteed contract with WCW. The plan was to have Bret debut at Clash of the Champions XVIII (1992) two days after the Rumble, possibly with the IC Title (as retaliation for Ric Flair bringing the NWA/WCW World Championship onto WWF programming). Bret's contract, however, had rolled over and he was unable to give notice. His 2007 autobiography "Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling" confirmed the Observer's notes about the plan to lose the belt to Mountie, only for him to regain it from Piper at WrestleMania VIII (1992), but made no mention of agreeing to a WCW deal at that point in time.
Final WWF PPV appearance for Haku until Royal Rumble 2001.
The Iron Sheik's last PPV match as Col. Mustafa, his last PPV appearance until WrestleMania XIII in 1997, and his last WWF PPV match until WrestleMania X-7 in 2001, which would be the final PPV match of his career.
Final WWF PPV appearance for "The Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich, Hercules Hernandez, and The Warlord of the Powers of Pain. In Von Erich's case, it was his last PPV match ever, for any company.
Final WWF PPV appearance for The Barbarian until Survivor Series 1994.
