Royal Rumble (1994)

Trivia

Royal Rumble

Edit
Tatanka was originally booked to wrestle Ludvig Borga. However, an ankle injury prevented Borga from participating. Borga was never seen on WWF TV again.
This was the first Royal Rumble to have 90 second entrance intervals rather than the traditional 2 minute intervals. It was announced by commentator Vince McMahon that WWF President Jack Tunney reduced the interval times for timing constraints. The following year would go one step further and reduce the time intervals to only a minute each.
A similar situation to the 1994 Royal Rumble ending happened at the 2005 Royal Rumble where the final two participants Batista and John Cena fell out of the ring at the same time. However unlike the 1994 event, both were not declared co-winners and the match was instead restarted with Batista winning. It must also be noted that the 2005 match had a botched ending unlike the 1994 match which was booked to be this way.
Mark Calaway (The Undertaker) lost the Casket Match to Yokozuna as a cover story so he could spend some time with his wife.
Final Royal Rumble appearance for "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
