Gorgeous women were no match for sweaty football players on Sunday. The 2017 Miss Universe pageant on Fox was trampled in Nielsen ratings by “Sunday Night Football’s” Green Bay Packers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game, which easily won the evening for NBC. Steve Harvey was ready for the comparisons between his infamous Miss Universe mix-up and this year's Oscars Best Picture flub, where Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway accidentally announced that La La Land was the year's Best Picture, instead of the correct winner, Moonlight.

During the announcement of the top 16 contestants of the 2017 Miss Universe pageant on Sunday, the Family Feud host called out the mistake for its similarity to his own blunder in 2015, when he announced Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, as the winner, when it was supposed to be Miss Philippines, Pia Wurtzbach.

"I'll tell you what I'm grateful for this Thanksgiving weekend. I'm grateful for the Oscars. 'Cause it let me off the hook," he joked. "So, you can sit here and act like you didn't see what Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway did, but it got me off the hook."

Prior to becoming a household name as an actress, the “Wonder Woman” star, 32, was a beauty pageant queen in her native Israel. Unbeknownst to Gadot, her family entered her in her first pageant when she was still a teenager.

“I told myself, ‘I’m just gonna do this. They’re gonna fly us to Europe, and I’m gonna get to tell my grandchildren that Grandmom did the Miss Israel thing,'” she recalled in the Aug.

Warner Bros. has found their Wonder Woman! Announced on Monday, the studio has confirmed that Israeli actress Gal Gadot has been cast as Diana Prince in Zack Snyder’s upcoming sequel to Man of Steel alongside Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck.
