Fantasia 2013 has announced the second wave of titles screening this year. If the first wave, along with the announcements of special guests wasn’t enough to get you excited, this surely will.

009 Re: Cyborg

Japan Dir: Kenji Kamiyama

Mechanized mayhem, mysticism and moral ambiguity meet when the influential ’60s manga/anime property 009 Cyborg gets a dark, postmodern makeover care of the mighty Production I.G, in the spirit of the iconic Ghost In The Shell films. Anime fans won’t want to miss this one. North American Premiere.

Animals

Spain Dir: Marçal Forés

Evocative of both Donnie Darko and Leolo with a touch of Charles Burns, Animals taps into a volatile whirlpool of adolescent anxieties and identity issues, addressing complex themes through a wealth of unconventional approaches. A heavy trip, but an entertaining and fantastical one. Winner: Best First Feature, Sant Jordi de Cinematografia 2013, Official Selection: Sitges 2012, Miami International Film Festival 2013. Han-believable! Cast yourself in carbonite during Disney World's 'Star Wars' Weekends
Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, James Earl Jones, David Prowse, and Kenny Baker in Star Wars: Épisode IV - Un nouvel espoir (1977)
For some, Disney World’s newest souvenir is just another pricey geek trinket, but for others, it’s a lifelong dream made real. As part of its Star Wars Weekends events in the springtime, Disney’s Hollywood Studios (one of four parks that make up Disney World) has announced plans for its new Carbon-Freeze Me experience, which allows Star Wars fans to freeze a likeness of themselves into a 3-D eight-inch figurine a la Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode V — The Empire Strikes Back.

The Disney Parks blog reveals that the experience uses state-of-the-art technology to capture...

Random Blam! Disney's Star Wars Weekends 2012 Debuts the Carbon-Freeze Me Experience
Here's your chance to fulfill a life-long Star Wars dream and be frozen in Carbonite just like Han Solo in the latest attraction added to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Via Disney Parks Blog - As a child, one of the most memorable scenes that I vividly remember from Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back is when Captain Han Solo is frozen in carbonite by Darth Vader. I think I remember it because after seeing the movie, my parents bought me Boba Fett’s ship that contained a miniature version of Han Solo in carbonite. Coming this year to Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I will have the opportunity to relive that scene with the Carbon-Freeze Me experience. This new experience was created especially for Disney Parks, and is part of our “D-Tech Me” line that uses...

T.I. has only gone Hollywood when it comes to films, not his music. Tinseltown's current box-office champ says we can expect a brand-new record from his King Uncaged LP this week. He's going to growing it from the ground up.

"My next song ... I'm not even sending it to radio first," he explained Monday. "I'm going to work it from the streets to the clubs. Then as DJs ask about it, I'll deliver it to them. I'm gonna go all the way back to grassroots. I feel that people right now feel I'm going so far over their heads, given my prior success with Paper Trail. They feel like I'm trying to leave my foundation and my demographic behind, which is far from my intention.
