Jane Wants To Get Back To Bollywood
Thomas Jane in The Punisher (2004)
The Punisher star Thomas Jane is desperate to return to the Bollywood movie industry in India - because he had a great time filming Padamati Sandhya Ragam there at the start of his career.

The actor, who is married to Patricia Arquette, shot the film in 1986 and admits he developed a great love for the sub-continent.

He says, "I would love to go back to Bollywood... It was a phenomenal experience. I love the way they make movies there."

Jane, who played the object of an Indian girl's affections in the film, reveals the five months he spent shooting in India helped him to become a better actor and a better person.

He adds, "I still have a real soft spot for everything Indian. India opened up my eyes to the world in a way no other experience could have. It’s the opposite of the western world. Their values are put less on the material things and more on the spiritual things of life.

"Being in India gave me a perspective that material things are not the end-all, be-all of what life is about… I was shown the light in India… It gave me the strength and wisdom to overcome a lot of rejection."

Hindu leaders in America have applauded Jane for his comments, and he has been invited to visit temples to further his love of Indian knowledge.

Leading U.S. statesman Rajan Zed says, "I urge Mr. Jane to further study the rich philosophical thought which Hinduism offers. Jane should start with ancient scripture Bhagavad-Gita, which says: 'You have the right to work, but never to the fruit of work. You should never engage in action for the sake of reward, nor should you long for inaction.'"...
