This film marks the third time Peter Facinelli has worked together with Ethan Embry. They previously starred alongside in Dancer, Texas Pop. 81 (1998) and Can't Hardly Wait (1998).
coconutbunny@aol.com is the only name given to the Internet girlfriend, until near the end of the movie when character Trevor Logan meets her in person and calls her by name: Mae.
The original title, Rennie's Landing, comes from a well-known bar adjacent the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, where producer Garrity grew up and attended college.
