This film broke new ground in projecting MGR as the Superhero, the saviour of the masses, the do-gooder who also gets the best babes and has the most fun. Little wonder, because he directed it himself! If you can sit through 3 hours of self-adulation and a clearly-too-old Puratchi Thalaivar, this one's for you. Good songs, though.
