Released in 2009, "Zombieland" stands out as one of the best horror comedy films out there. Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the film featured Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin as four survivors of a zombie apocalypse who embark on a perilous, hilarious, and surprisingly heartfelt road trip that includes a few notable sequences, including a surprise run-in with comedy icon Bill Murray.
Although Jesse Eisenberg's Columbus serves as the narrator of "Zombieland," Woody Harrelson's Tallahassee is undoubtedly the film's breakout character. The Twinkie-obsessed survivor who finds glee in fending off zombies stands out as one of the most memorable characters in Harrelson's decorated career, and this includes his Emmy-winning turn as Woody Boyd in "Cheers" and three Academy Award-nominated performances. The Terminator might be more than four decades old, but it has barely aged at all, still proving one of the most exhilarating blends of horror and action in cinema history. However, the same praise is rarely lent to most of the film's sequels, with the likes of Salvation and Genesys earning a terrible critical response and tainting the legacy of one of the best movie franchises.
However, despite the universal disapproval of more modern incarnations of the Terminator tale, the franchise's latest entry, Terminator: Dark Fate, bucked the trend and earned a promising response, which included a 70% rating from critics and 82% from general audiences on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, even if Arnold Schwarzenegger himself did once refer to the movie as "not well written." Fans and critics clearly disagree with the man behind the T-800, with the film even proving popular six years following its release.
