Can love, faith and patience save the day...

A fine story and a good example of why we shouldn't take life for granted.

Just one little slip and a family's whole world is turned upside down. Love, faith and patience put through the greatest test.

This is a heart-wrenching tale, quite moving in places. I'm sure a few people might find themselves reaching for the tissues.

    Engaging, emotional, and (unfortunately) educational

Very Accurate-but misleadingly optimistic. I lived through a very similar situation and the emotional stress, and unwavering hope (of some families) is very accurately covered in this movie. What is Not covered are the devastating Financial problems, and the almost criminal legal issues faced by families when a loved one is comatose, (or worse in permanent vegetative state). Also-the problems during the recovery period, which takes years after (and IF) someone "wakes up" was not covered. For more information on Head/Brain Injury, search for sites such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traumatic_brain_injury.

The dedication and faith of the wife is typically of many whose loved one has been injured - and the Guilt and questions of morality and normality are common situations encountered. Frustrations and the many other stages of Grieving are covered, but as the movie shows the person is not dead - so there is no closure! This movie should be seen by anyone who has had someone in a coma, or has suffered concussions or lack of oxygen from car wrecks, sports injuries, falls, choking/ suffocation/ drowning, gas inhalation, drug overdoses, severe bloodloss, and several other events where the head is hit, blood is lost, or oxygen deprived.

    Emotional and uplifting TV Movie

A woman whose husband is in a coma, struggles to cope with the consequences.

This is a TV movie which often means poor dialogue and dodgy acting abound. However this film boasts Rebecca De Mornay who puts in a great performance in her role as the anguished wife. The film covers well the difficulties a spouse faces when they don't know whether their partner will ever recover. It doesn't sugarcoat the difficulties faced and therefore this comes across as very real to life.

A decent supporting cast on top of De Mornays performance mean you really engage with the characters and care what happens.

Range of Motion is an emotional and uplifting film that is far better than you could reasonably expect. Well worth watching.

    Uplifting and totally absorbing

I'm not a film buff - haven't been to the cinema in years - preferring to catch films on TV. Range of Motion I found to be a most uplifting film - seen for the first time by me on UK television between Christmas and New Year 2007.

It's true - you never know what is going to happen - and would we want to? - for then we wouldn't be living our lives to the full.

An 'ordinary' family - living their lives, as we all do, on 'everyday' terms, and then ? -A freak accident - bringing about such a dramatic change to the lives of that family - and the months of heartache that follow - but still showing faith and love by the wife to her husband.

Can anybody tell me the name (and author) of poem that Laeney was reading to her husband, whilst he was still in Hospital? Something like - "These woods I know"???
