The soundtrack sold over 600,000 units within 3 months of the film's release.
Though actress Swarnamalya received several film offers after her critically acclaimed performance, Post-release, the actress had expressed her disappointment at several of her scenes being edited out of the film.
Originally, famous actress and singer Vasundhara Das was considered for the role of Shakti. However, Shalini ended up bagging the role.
