One of the best Comedy movies that you can ever get

Think about the greatest movie makers in TOLLYWOOD (Telugu Indian cinema world) and the list begins with the great Jandhyala. The heaps of comedy movies that came from his bag rocked the theaters with laughter.

Aha Naa Pellanta coming from the great movie maker is no different. The right laughter therapy for anyone and everyone. The story is pretty simple and the comedy is brought out through amazing characterization of 3 people - Nuthan Prasad, Kota Srinivas Rao and Brahmanandam. All 3 of them excelled in their respective roles and provided rib-tickling performances.

No doubt about it !!! 10/10 ...

One of the best comedy movies ever...

Why to categorize this just as a 'comedy' movie. This is clearly one of the best movies I have watched. I have watched it countless times and always excited for the next chance to watch!!!

Jandhyala, one of the finest talents in Telugu Film Industry (i count him the best of them all), will let you know through this movie why you should watch his movies time and again. Every department i.e. story telling, dialogues, acting, ..... is just awesome. Probably, Suresh Productions will never be able to produce such an extra ordinary movie again.

Don't want to talk about the actors in this movie, as they have achieved cult status in Telugu homes through their characters. Every 'character' comes with it and you can not forget them easily.

Truly, one of the best movies ever...

So much fun and laughter that you will be awed by it.

Jandhyala is a master film maker, especially in the genre of comedy. This film depicts his sense of control over comedy genre. The film is about a man trying to convince the girl's father to marry his daughter to him. Its also about a bet between the man and his father.

How does he do it? Well it is best seen than explained. Sure that this one makes you roll with laughter, quite literally. The characters are so rich and deep that laughter is produced naturally. There are no efforts to create jokes, nor are there any useless jokes. Everything blends just so perfectly that you transport to a new world where everything is fun.

The Classic Comedy of Telugu Cinema.

Difficult to get a better comedy movie

There is no attempted joke in the movie for which we don't laugh. Comedy of Kota & Brahmanandam as Owner and Servant is too good. Kota is a big miser and his actions, often to save money, irritates our Brahmanandam.

Full credit to Late. Jandhyala for his dialogs and for Brahmanandam and Kota for their awesome performance.

Whenever Brahmi gets frustrated with his owner's actions he curses "potavu ra orei.. nasanam ayipotavu..." means "you'll get decimated" is truly awesome.

definitely one the best comedy movies ever made...., don't miss it.

The All time greats of TOLLYWOOD (TELUGU CINEMA INDUSTRY).I bet every Telugu speaking guy would have watched this more than once, and there are people in 2017 (current year) who would watch this movie and feel the comedy still fresh and hilarious, even after a couple of Decades of the movie.

No double meaning dialogues.

Epic comedy movie ever

This will be the best movie forever in the comedy genre, Its been over 30 year for the realse of this movie and have been telecasted 100s of times till date, and have played on youtube some 20 times atleast whenever wanted to watch some comedy.. Still if the movie is telecasted on any nonworking day... And if it catches our eye, We just stick to the tv till the end titles ...

Its that good movie and the best part is You will not even realize you are watching it.

All you will remeber after end titles is you were laughing the whole time....

I just hope someone to beat its record.. So that we my kids do also have some treasure..like i been having all myy life till date.. This movie will surely be as refreshing as it was 38 years ago as it is today..and there is no doubt about for it will be in the same untouched state for next 50/60 years..

The best of Telugu comedy

Ahana Pelli Anta is the pinnacle of Telugu comedy movies. While this movie is a comedy, its not all non-sense, this movie does a good job conveying an good message for the masses.

I first saw this movie in 1990, and I have become a true fan. Till this date, I have been watching it over and over again, since 1990. I watch this move atleast once every month, and every time I see it, it gets better. Pretty much anytime I am stressed, I watch this movie to destress and have a good laugh.

I am a cult follower of Jandyala's movies, Rendu Rella Aaru and Chupulu Kalisina Shubavela are some of his other greats.

It's a Classic!

It's been 32 years since it's release, no other Telugu movie is as pure and light hearted as this film! A true classic and masterpiece, it's also the first movie of our favorite legend Bramhaanandam gaaru! The famous Aragundu thittlu are still used by many! There are only a few movies like this one.

A miserabilistic funny comedy with timeless appeal.

Aha! Naa Pellanta (1987) : Brief Review -

A miserabilistic funny comedy with timeless appeal. While Hera Pheri (2000) is officially a remake of Ramji Rao Speaking, the look and mannerisms of Baburao seem heavily inspired by Aha! Naa Pellanta. The film opens in a unique way-with a full video song from the legendary Mayabazar (1957), featuring Savitri as Sasirekha singing "Aha Na Pellanta," describing her wedding. This not only explains the film's title but also marks one of those rare instances where the opening credits are rolled over a song from another film that perfectly sets the tone and text. Though Aha! Naa Pellanta was remade in Hindi, it's not widely known. However, in Telugu cinema, it's hailed as one of the greatest comedies ever made. Many credit the film for revolutionizing the way dialogues are written and delivered in comedy films. I struggled for years to watch this film due to the unavailability of English subtitles-eventually resorting to Telugu subtitles and translating them myself. Of course, the result had broken grammar and missed nuances, proving once again that humor rooted in language and culture rarely translates well. The first half of the film focuses on a rich young man who falls in love and tries to convince his father to approve the marriage. The second half shifts focus to the girl's father, a notorious miser. To win him over, the hero pretends to be an even bigger miser, giving rise to some of the film's most iconic scenes and dialogues. Kota Srinivasa Rao is an absolute riot, with Nutan Prasad and Rajendra Prasad delivering fantastic performances. Brahmanandam is in a league of his own here. Jandhyala's screenplay and direction ensure that the film remains entertaining throughout, with a touch of emotion in the end. Overall, a very good comedy.

Slapstick comedy worth a watch!

This is a Telugu Language film starring Kota Srinivasa Rao, Nutan Prasad, Brahmanandam, Rajendra Prasad, Rajani.

The film is intended not to be taken seriously. From scene one it tries to make every scene a comedy true to its purpose. But after the half hour the film begins to drag despite Rajendra Prasad's attempts.

But once Kota Srinivasa Rao made an entry is when I realised what justified the film's high ratings in IMDB, one of the highest for Telugu films! His characterisation is a completely convincingly played and is a laugh riot. The miserly character even shadows upon Brahmanandam who salvages his presence in interim Sutradhar commentary and in the end scenes with the character hard of hearing.

Nutan Prasad is a powerful performer and Rajani is only there for her heavenly beauty.

Overall the film is a complete family entertainer with fun filled comedy after the first hour. Kudos to the director for realising the film is going astray and changing the setting itself to bring it back on track!
