Results from the PPV: - Big Bossman and Bull Buchanan defeated The Godfather and D'Lo Brown in a boring match.
- Hardcore Holly won the Hardcore title in a Battle Royal which also consisted of Pete Gas, Rodney, Joey Abs, Crash Holly, The APA, Viscera, Funaki, Taka Michinoku, Tazz and The Headbangers. Actually Crash was originally going to retain the title but Holly won it by mistake when the time limit ran out! - Test and Albert downed Al Snow and Steve Blackman in a poor match.
- Edge and Christian defeated The Dudley Boyz and The Hardy Boyz in a fantastic TLC match to win the WWF Tag Team titles.
- (Ref Val Venis) Terri defeated The Kat.
- Too Cool and Chyna defeated Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn.
- Chris Benoit defeated Chris Jericho to win the Intercontinental Championship. Kurt Angle lost the belt.
- Chris Jericho pinned Chris Benoit to win the European Championship. Overall this match was disappointing. Again Angle lost the belt.
- Rikishi and Kane defeated Road Dogg and X-Pac.
- Triple H defeated The Rock, Mick Foley and Big Show to retain the WWF Championship. This was a disappointing match, but Triple H was the only heel to retain the title at a WM, so the fans were shocked that Rock didn't win.

- TriviaThere were no standard one-on-one matches with normal rules in the event. All matches were either a battle royal, tag team, triple threat, or a fatal four-way, a rarity for WrestleMania.
- GoofsThe ending of the Hardcore title match was planned as follows: Hardcore Holly would cover Crash Holly, and the referee would only reach a pinfall count of two before the time limit expired, ensuring that Crash would win the match and keep the title. However, in execution, the referee makes and completes the three count just before the on-screen clock reaches zero. There is some initial confusion among the commentators and the ring announcer Howard Finkel as to the outcome of the match, before an on-the-spot decision is made to announce Hardcore Holly as the winner, and the new Hardcore Champion. A re-write was made for the following night's "Raw" show, allowing Crash to win the title back from Hardcore Holly.

The Rock: 12 months. 12 months ago, after every interview, after every run-in, after every backstabbing, after every win, after every loss, after everything they've thrown at The Rock, and after everything The Rock has thrown back, after every chokeslam, after every mandible claw, after every pedigree. The Rock says this. Is that if he can do it all over the again he would say, finally, The Rock has come back to Wrestlemania!
- Alternate versionsAdditional material on the DVD: A WrestleMania wrap-up with Jonathan Coachman A brief Hardcore Holly interview An interview with Mick Foley and his wife & kids after his match An interview with Edge & Christian, and some shots of them, The Hardy Boyz & The Dudley Boyz hugging after their match
