WWF SmackDown!

Very addicting, very fun

This game is hard to put down what's you get into it. It's probably the best wrestling video game in a long time. You can fight or fight as all the WWF superstars like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin Triple H, The Big Show, Mankind, The Undertaker, Kane and Chris Jericho. Unfortunately, it's just a little out of date and some great wrestlers like Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle. There are also a few wrestlers in there who aren't as big anymore or are just retired, like Gangrel and Mark Henry. This game also lacks commentators and there could be more interactions (rumors on the internet were that there was a lot more interaction than this game actually has). But the game is still excellent. You can make friends/enemies with other wrestlers, fight for championships, fight in PPV's, watch matches or even be the referree. This game is very fun and worth buying.

Fun game!

This is the best wrestling game for the sony playstation. The gameplay is so addicting. The "Create a superstar" mode makes the game even funer when you create the superstar of your choice. The way to come champion in the game is to raise the wrestler's ranking points. The higher your points are, the better the chance you can fight against a champion that will put his title on the line for you. I'm also looking forward to "Smackdown 2: Know your role", it's probably going to be much better than this game. This game worth to check out until the sequel releases.

I give this game 8 out of 10

The Rock says know your role and play Smackdown!

Near-perfect wrestling game is by far the best in the lot. Unlike most games that end after winning the WWF Championship, many wrestlers will challenge you to put the title on the line.

Popular WWF superstars "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, Big Show, Chyna, Chris Jericho, and Mankind, to name a few are in the game. Even the Dudley Boyz are in the game, but no table matches though.

To raise the ante higher, more matches are thrown in, but some are not. Don't expect to see any blood, so forget about First Blood matches. You can also make matches where you appoint yourself as special guest referee.

The create a wrestler mode is fun, but there are certain limitations unlike WWF Attitude. Also, there's no commentary or voices from wrestlers. At least we get to hear entrance themes of all wrestlers, most of them very current.

Other title matches include European, Intercontinental, Women's, Hardcore, and Tag Team. Based on your statuses, you can challenge other wrestlers to defend their titles as well.

And to all you WWF fans: don't be a jabroni and go get this game. You will never, e-e-ever regret it.

My evaluation: 9.5 out of 10

For THQ their first try at a WWF video game on the play station is a real winner

Ever since THQ got the rights to the WWF The World Wrestling Federation many fans were wondering how well THQ will do with the games since losing the rights to WCW World Championship Wrestling.

WWF Smackdown on the Playstation is a home run for both companies because the game is just too much fun to put down.

WWF Smackdown is the first of a long line of great video games on the play station for the World Wrestling Federation.

Also all of your favorite WWF Superstars are here. The Undertaker, The Rock, Mankind, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Chris Jericho, The Big Show and many others.

The Game graphics are truly great with the wrestlers looking like they do on WWF TV and the arenas and backstage areas are really detailed as well.

The Sounds is very strong with the real theme songs of the WWF Superstars. The music in the game is very good and fits the game play

The controls are very simple and give you the feel of being in a World Wrestling Federation Show

The Gameplay is so much fun that just make you want to come back for more.

So overall with THQ first game on the play station for the World Wrestling Federation this game became a hit.

I give WWF Smackdown a 10 out of 10
