During the "free-floating hostility" bit George Carlin mentions being annoyed by "white guys over ten years of age who wear their baseball hats backwards". He made it up on the spot because an audience member who wears his cap backwards was constantly yelling and being distracting. After Carlin makes the joke the same guy can be seen standing up from an aisle seat and screaming angrily at George.

Goofs
Stagehand can be seen peeking out from a flat at the back of the stage. He then realizes he's on camera and goes back out of sight.

A very enjoyable george carlin special. My favourite bit was the last 'free floating hostility' one.he goes after things that people do which he finds annoying in the most hilarious manner possible.

Back in Town is George Carlin's 15th album and ninth HBO special. It was also released on CD on September 17, 1996. This was also his first of many performances at the Beacon Theater in New York City. He rants about Abortion, The death penalty, prison farms, fart jokes, free floating hostility and words.
