Weird mixture of drama and comedy

A film with good performances, beautiful camerawork and some good ideas - but nevertheless a very bad one.

The plot centers around a man about thirty and his family. The man is unsatisfied with his work and wants something more. (1st half) On a summer outing, they get involved with some robbers who are fleeing from the police - and end up with part of the money the robbers took from a post office. (2nd half)

The first half of the film does not consist of anything more than some very depressing scenes, some of them of 'symbolic' value, which ought to express - I presume - that this film is 'art'. In the second half, the style suddenly changes, and the film becomes a sort of action comedy that is even funny at times. The two halves have nothing to do with each other and it never becomes evident why the plot had to start so slowly and tediously...
