    Judgement Day Arcade Grade: Excellent!

I remember playing this with a fist full of quarters with my friend Tim back at the Lincoln Heights Pizza place. We played all the way to the end but never beat it. It consists of a fighting Skynet in the future, going up against the Exo(endo?)skeletons and having stuff thrown at you from and you have too shoot back. As it moves along you have to ward off HK (Hunter Killers) from a beat up truck as it races towards Skynet and then you have to fight Skynet itself. Though after seeing what SKynet was supposed to look like on the Ultimate T2 disk, I am underwhelmed by its appearance. After that it takes you to the modern day to rescue John Conner. Some similarities there, but you have to go to Cyberdyne and stop the T1000 in the helicopter. The part at the very end is where the movie itself ends. I believe the trick was to defeat the T1000 the same way it was beat in the movie, but I didn't grasp that concept when we were plowing through it. Just don't let the T1000 get John. ALl in all, an arcade classic to me. A word to the wise:'Keep away from the Sega Genesis version. THe gun doesn't work and it's terrible.' If I had the money I might buy one of these T2 games for myself.

    Terminator 2: The Arcade Game!

Terminator 2: The Arcade Game is one of the one of the coolest action video games! The characters, the action, and the sure thrill of adventure makes this game a fun non-stop playing time! Below is a brief look how I think the game is!

Game Play: The game play is very good. There is really basic controls here and is easy to perform. Novice gamers should have a good time here!

Graphics: The graphics are wonderful especially for the Arcade, Super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis! The backgrounds are really beautiful!

Difficulty: The game is easy but as it goes on you find out that it will become more difficult!

Music: The music is great! Just fantastic catchy tunes through out the game! In My opinion its some of the best music ever in a video game!

Sound: The sound is great. Nuff said!

Overall: I have always loved Terminator 2: The Arcade Game! If you like excellent adventure games, shooters, and more then I strongly recommend you play this game!

    Great action game!

I used to play this game in the arcades for hours. I finally beat it playing alone one Saturday night and it was extremely satisfying. It's difficulty made it a true arcade classic. For me, the realistic action sequences along with the true-to-life graphics made it one of my all-time arcade favorites. I found it particularly enjoyable to play because of the original T:2 Judgement Day actors reprising their roles in this game. Overall, this game is one of the great all-time arcade shooters.

    T2: The arcade game

I never played "Terminator 2: The Arcade Game" in the arcades hardcore; I think I played it once while I was on vacation at Virginia Beach, but that was over 10 years ago. I've since had the game on both Sega Genesis and Sega Game Gear. As the title would give away, it's a spin-off of the hugely successful movie "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (1991). Basically in this game, it's a side-scrolling point-and-shoot at Skynet's endless armies of mechanized killing machines in the wastelands of the post-apocalyptic future, and be careful to not accidentally shoot your human allies. And that's pretty much it.

The game is swift and action-packed, and there's a lot to shoot at, so don't worry about becoming bored during game-play. Only problem is, the battles can be a little too intense and so at certain points you're overwhelmed with so many things to blast at on the screen. With that said, I've never completed the game because it's always "game over" by the second to last stage.

But anyway, "Terminator 2: The Arcade Game" is a sufficient shooter - no more, no less.

    • Trivia
Levels 3 (Trip to Skynet) and 4 (Skynet) were most likely based on extended "Future War" scenes in the original script for Terminator 2 : Le Jugement dernier (1991). These would have shown the Resistance winning the war, and John Connor entering the Skynet complex, where he would send Kyle Reese back in time to 1984. These scenes were ultimately never filmed due to budget and pacing issues.
