I only wish to say is: I enjoyed this movie very much. After a long day, I looked forward to it each evening. I love the drama, suspense, theme, ect. . . Plain and simple. . . Put the movie back on ! ! every night of the week. Without it, there is no sense in watching television at night.
I have seen the Sopranos and other mob-esque shows, but this show is first-class. The show is based on facts and uses emotionally charged characters, interesting plot, fluid dialog, and outstanding cinematography. I hope that it will be turned into a series. For those of you that didn't see it, you missed out.
"Falcone" definitely is the best new show of the season! We get to see different sides of the main characters which make them more believable and realistic. Jason Gedrick is surprisingly wonderful as Falcone/Pistone. He's handsome without being "perfect". Titus W. is deliciously evil while still flashing a soft side once in a while. It's a shame Lucky is gone but maybe he will continue to haunt Sonny. Hopefully, CBS will be smart and bring this show back in the fall. I like the clothes. I like "the" car/SUV. I want to know if Falcone/Pistone ever brings down the Volante family while keeping his marriage together. I'm giddy with excitement to see if this fantastic show returns!
I don't watch much tv. But, I could not stay away from Falcone. Titus Welliver was excellent as Sonny. His facial expressions were a big part of great acting. His character was well written, he had a heart of gold, but, yet was ruthless. I thought all of the characters and the actors portraying them were a winning combination. If CBS knows what it's doing, which I wonder sometimes, they will keep this show on, but with the original cast. I personally don't see anyone else playing those particular characters. When it comes out on video, I'm buying it.
Rreally liked this show,no, it's not the Sapranos,it's not the Godfather,it happens to be a "semi-fictional account" of life inside the mob as told by an FBI agent who actually lived his life with these people,.of course he could not put everything in with the time cbs gave him, but I think Mr. Pistone did a fantastic job considering I've only heard the other side of the story, but have seen nothing like this! The truth may not be stronger than fiction, but with the time limit he had to deal with, I think Pistone did a great job, the actors were too pretty,"but that only helped" I suggest you read the book, if you've seen the series, before you review this show, you may just want to take a second look!!!!

- TriviaThis series is based on the book "Donnie Brasco: My Undercover Life in the Mafia", written by FBI agent Joseph D. Pistone with Richard Woodley, about the true story of Pistone's undercover work in two New York City Mafia families as a low-level jewel thief named Donnie Brasco. The book was previously the basis for the movie Donnie Brasco (1997). Pistone's alias in the series was changed to "Joe Falcone" for legal reasons.
