Mediawan has acquired Les Films entre 2&4, a French production company led by popular comedian Jonathan Cohen, and fellow actors, screenwriters and producers Benjamin Bellecour and Jean-Toussaint Bernard.

Based in Paris, Les Films entre 2&4 has delivered the hit parodic dating show “La Flamme,” an adaptation of the Ben Stiller-produced format “Burning Love,” which had Cohen play a bachelor, opposite some France’s biggest female stars, from Leila Bekhti to Adele Exarchopoulos and Geraldine Nakache; and “Le Flambeau,” a “Survivor”-style adventure reality show starring Cohen, Jerome Commandeur, Jonathan Lambert and Natacha Lindinger, among others. Both shows were co-produced by Mediawan’s MakingProd banner.

​​Now part of Mediawan, Les Films entre 2&4 will look to ramp up the production of feature films and original series, following some recent well-received titles such as “Iris,” “Fucking Fred” and “McWalter.”

Les Films entre 2&4’s pipeline includes “Les Lionnes,” Olivier Rosemberg’s series which has been commissioned by Netflix.

Banijay CEO Marco Bassetti is set to receive the Variety Vanguard Award, which will be presented in October at the Mipcom global content market in Cannes.

The award recognizes television industry leaders who have made a significant contribution to the global business of entertainment. Superfans and cast members of Peacock's The Traitors descended upon West Hollywood this weekend for a two-day celebration championing LGBTQ+ visibility.

On Saturday, longtime WeHo establishment the Abbey was transformed into a pop-up of Club Cumming, host Alan Cumming's New York hotspot. Cast members in attendance were Chrishell Stause, Bob the Drag Queen, Parvati Shallow, Bob Harper, and Sam Asghari, and notable guests included Anna Kendrick, Taylor Owen, Chrissie Fit, Chris Appleton, and Maria-Grace "M.G." Cook. Chrishell, both Bobs, and Sam competed on The Traitors Season 3, while Parvati was a contestant on Season 2.

Club Cumming's WeHo attendees enjoyed photo ops, tasty brunch, a drag show, and specialty themed cocktails like the Banishment Bloody, Murderous Mimosa, Complete the Mission Margarita, Spill the Beans Espresso Martini, and Cu-Cumming Martini. Swag included Traitors-branded flags, tank tops, and hats that were all inspired by the Emmy-winning reality competition series.

The manhwa adaptation, despite dominating streaming with Crunchyroll's highest user ratings and episodes that crashed servers while reaching 100,000 likes in under seven hours, didn't crack the top 100 most-watched series of the 2024-25 season -- and only one anime series made it into the top 100 specifically for adults aged 18-49. Per Variety, Nielsen’s multiplatform ratings revealed the 100 most-watched TV shows of 2024-25 across legal streaming, broadcast and cable viewing in the U.S., with data spanning from Sept. 15, 2024, to April 6, 2025. Notably, the top 100 list excluded several categories of viewing data, including sports, repeat programming, TV specials and any program fewer than four episodes in length, as well as pirated content.

Despite what fans might have wanted, Boston Rob Mariano wasn’t interested in joining the cast of Survivor 50.

A five-time alum of the beloved CBS series, The Traitors competitor was notably missing from the list of players announced earlier this week who will return to play in the landmark 50th season. Earlier this year, fans voted on key elements of the game, including “Idols or No Idols,” “Final Four Fire Making: Keep It or Lose It” and “Live Finale and Reunion Show in L.A. – or Keep the Winner Reveal and Aftershow in the Jungles of Fiji.” The players won’t know what the fans voted for until they are competing on the island.

It’s become a bit of a cliché to say “broadcast’s back,” since, of course, it never really left. Just ask the fans of “NCIS,” “Law & Order: Svu” or “Grey’s Anatomy,” shows that have been on the air for decades — and launched when Netflix was only known for mailing DVDs to your house.

But there’s also some truth to this year’s network TV rebirth. This was a strong season for the traditional linear outlets — two of the most-watched new shows, period, were ABC’s “High Potential” and CBS’ “Matlock.” And the third-most-watched program overall was the Eye’s “Tracker,” beaten only by Netflix phenomena “Squid Game” and “Adolescence.”

We know all of this because Nielsen’s multiplatform ratings are finally here, and for the first time since the dawn of the streaming revolution, we can see apples-to-apples comparisons of how shows across the TV landscape are doing.

The Traitors led the list of 2025 Critics Choice Real TV Awards nominees with six nominations and took home three wins. The series, which continues its run as a favorite among Critics Choice Association members, won in the Best Competition Series, Best Ensemble Cast in an Unscripted Series, and Best Show Host (Alan Cumming) categories.

Love on the Spectrum earned Best Unstructured Series and Best Relationship Show wins. And Dancing with the Stars also won in two categories, securing Best Competition Series: Talent/Variety and Male Star of the Year (Stephen Nedoroscik) wins.

The annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards recognize the best in nonfiction, unscripted, and reality programming across broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms.

The cast of Survivor’s landmark 50th season will feature 24 players competing for the title of Sole Survivor and the $1 million prize.
