Brian Wilson Cause of Death: Beach Boys Founder Passes Away at 82

We have sad news from the world of music today, as iconic singer-songwriter Brian Wilson has passed away at the age of 82.

A founding member of the Beach Boys, Wilson wrote and performed some of the most beloved songs in the history of rock music.

Word of his passing comes courtesy of Wilson’s family, who shared the news on Instagram moments ago:

“We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away,” their statement read.

The story of iconic band The Beach Boys is being told in a new feature length documentary for Disney+, here’s the trailer.

The Beach Boys have released some of the most iconic songs in the history of popular music, with the 1966 Pet Sounds album breaking new ground in music production.

The life of singer and songwriter Brian Wilson was previously dramatised in Bill Pohland’s terrific 2016 drama Love and Mercy, which saw Paul Dano and John Cusack share the lead role. Wilson’s life was further explored in documentaries like 1995 film Brian Wilson: I Just Wasn’t Made for These Times and 2021 film Brian Wilson: Long Promised Road.

The Beach Boys is a feature length documentary which will explore the history of the band. The synopsis reads as follows:

Yo, did you hear the good news? Yo Gabba Gabba! is coming back to TV.

A revival of the beloved Nickelodeon kids’ show titled Yo Gabba GabbaLand! will premiere Friday, Aug. 9 on Apple TV+, the streamer announced on Wednesday. The new series brings back original characters Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Toodee and Plex and also introduces a new host: Kammy Kam, played by 12-year-old Kamryn Smith. (The original Yo Gabba Gabba! was hosted by DJ Lance Rock, played by Lance Robertson.)

“Doctor Who” Debuts New Trailer

Allons-y, Whovians! As promised, Disney+ wrapped up last week with the first official trailer for the upcoming new season of “Doctor Who,” starring Ncuti Gatwa as the recently regenerated Fifteenth Doctor.

In wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey fashion, the long-running sci-fi series will start back at Series 1 for its new era, which will see the Fifteenth Doctor and companion Ruby Sunday (played by Millie Gibson) travel across time and space, from Regency-era England to war-torn future worlds.

The new season, will for the first time, be streamed on both iPlayer and BBC in the United Kingdom and on Disney+ in the United States and internationally with the first two episodes will premiere on Friday, May 10, in the U.S. following a replay of the Christmas special “The Church on Ruby Road” special at 7 p.m. Et before the season premiere.
