Memorable

Royal Rumble is a great event in the WWF, and in 1998 it was better than ever. This time, Stone Cold Steve Austin defied the odds and won the coveted Royal Rumble to face Shawn Michaels in his final match 2 months later. Mike Tyson also makes a funny cameo as himself (which leads up to him at Wrestlemania XIV). Entertaining and satisfying, with the Rock as Rocky Maivia. A+

Great! Great! Great!

This was the most graetest Pay Per View I have ever seen live.Yes i was their at the San Jose Arena.The first match was great Vader Vader Bombed Goldust with Luna on top of Vader.The Casket match between Sean Michaels and The Undertaker was great.When The Undertaker was in the Casket and Sean was standing on top of it Undertaker stuck his hand up and grabed Sean Michaels jewels,and when Stone Cold one the Royal Rumble it was best thing ever.

Great event

This is a great video. I mean you have many great matches including the royal rumble itself. There is also a midget match with the legendary Max Mini. This is a must see for any wrestling fan preferably WWF.

During the show, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was seen as a marked man with The Godwinns, Nation of Domination and Los Boricuas all trying to get him. Before the Royal Rumble match, it looked like Los Boricuas had attacked Austin with nobody entering at #22 but it turned out they attacked Skull (who was supposed to come out at that spot).

Goofs
Commentator Jim Ross states that this is only the 2nd Rumble match for Honky Tonk Man, when in fact, it is his 3rd. He previously appeared in the 1989 and 1990 Rumble matches.

Quotes

After the Rock/Shamrock match, they show Shamrock attacking The Rock backstage, being pulled off by the referees. The Rock tells the refs to "get that piece of shit out of my dressing room."
After the casket match, WWF crew members put out the fire, then open the casket to reveal it's empty. The Undertaker's voice comes over the PA, saying that until he & Kane meet again, he will never rest in peace.
