Roberto Orci, Star Trek and Transformers Writer-Producer, Dies at 51
Image
Roberto Orci, known for his work on Star Trek and other major franchises, has passed away. He was 51 years old. Per Deadline, Orci died on Friday, Feb. 25, at his Los Angeles home. His death was attributed to kidney disease.

“He was a visionary storyteller with a boundless heart and a beautiful soul,” J.R. Orci, the writer-producer's brother, said of his late sibling. “But beyond his creative talents, he was a compassionate friend who would put his life on hold to help a stranger and find room in his home for the most overlooked pup at the shelter.”

Roberto "Bob" Gaston Orci was born in Mexico City, Mexico, on July 20, 1973. As a child, he relocated to the United States, and he met longtime collaborator Alex Kurtzman when the two were teenagers at a private school in Santa Monica, California. That led to several projects developed together, starting with the TV series...

Im Worried Gears Of War: E-Day Isn't Solving The Series Biggest Issues
Image
Gears of War: E-Day brings back Marcus and Dom for a prequel on Emergence Day, but risks further repeating old themes. Gears of War 4 and Gears 5 added interesting twists to the series, but ultimately retread old ground. E-Day is similarly stuck trying to recapture the heights of the original trilogy by bringing players back to the Locust War, which the series never really left in the first.

Gears of War: E-Day is one of my most anticipated upcoming games. I adored the series' original trilogy, but I'm just now getting around to playing its more recent entries after skipping the Xbox One generation. Gears of War 4 and Gears 5 haven't quite reached the same heights as the series-best Gears of War 2 for me, but roadie running around and chainsawing grubs has a sort of base appeal that hasn't ceased to be entertaining. Since The Coalition took stewardship of the series' development,...

One Baldurs Gate 3 Achievement Will Ruin Your Character (But Theres An Easy Solution)
Image
Jack of All Trades achievement requires leveling up all 12 classes on one character without respeccing. This build can be underpowered, limiting a character's effectiveness in combat and late-game. A workaround exists using the hireling system, allowing players to achieve the feat without significant drawbacks.

There are 54 achievements to earn in Baldur's Gate 3. Some are difficult to obtain, requiring players to perform impressive feats in combat that rely on luck. Others are fun and whimsical, related to the fates of side characters and the choices players make across the game's three acts. However, few will require as much commitment or cause as much frustration as the achievement of Jack of All Trades.

The Jack of All Trades achievement is awarded to players who, over the course of a playthrough, put one level into each of the game's 12 classes on a single character. This must be done without respeccing the character even once.

‘Congrats My Ex!’ Review: Amazon’s Thai Film Isn’t “Bright” Enough
Image
When word of Thai actor Vachirawit Chivaaree, aka Bright, being in a movie with an Indian setting was announced, fans went feral over the revelation. The poster looks right out of a Bollywood movie, and the trailer even includes a Bollywood-ish song that got people excited. Congrats My Ex! tells the story of Risa, a Thai wedding planner who is tasked with planning the wedding of her Indian ex-boyfriend in Thailand. Desperate for money, she takes on the job even though she knows it’ll lead to heartbreak. But, immediately, catastrophe strikes, and she has to find her other ex, Tim, to do the photography for the wedding. With both her exes in the picture, an adventure of a lifetime awaits Risa. Or so you’d imagine. I, for one, have barely seen any Thai media, but this movie is quite boring with its predictable Bollywood plotlines and slapstick comedy...

Netflix’s Fubar and the Return of ‘Dadcore’ TV
Image
People love to talk about a new Golden Age of Television, where buzzwords like Peak TV get thrown around to describe any number of respected, popular, or critically acclaimed television shows. Certainly, there’s something to be said for the quality of a show like Mad Men or The Sopranos. Even more recent shows from the shared Vince Gilligan universe have their champions, with devoted fans extolling the virtues of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul long after the final episodes air.

It’s good stuff, to be sure, but it’s not really peak television. Everyone knows television peaked in the early to mid 1990s when a wave of first-run syndicated action adventure comedies propped up the mid-afternoon schedules of every local broadcast channel and basic cable outlet. Thanks to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Netflix’s new series Fubar, it all might be coming back.

Just ask your dad; TV...

Bruce Campbell Says The Evil Dead Animated Series Is Still In Development
Image
It's astonishing the longevity of the "Evil Dead" series, given how deliberately thin the original film's mythology was. In Sam Raimi's 1981 low-budget classic, "The Evil Dead," a group of college kids, including the acerbic Ash (Bruce Campbell) hole up in a remote forest cabin for the usual reasons, when they find an evil-looking book in the basement -- the Necronomicon -- and a mysterious tape recorder. Playing back the tape, they hear evil incantations from the book, read by the cabin's previous tenant. The spell awakens evil monsters who kill the college kids and are generally a nuisance to Ash.

In the 1987 sequel-cum-remake, "Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn," it's further established that a second spell can banish the monsters back to Hell ... and also throw Ash back in time to the 14th century. The third film in the series, 1993's "Army of Darkness," takes place in the distant past,...

Sam Raimi on the Evil Dead 4 ideas that never happened
Tony Sokol Aug 24, 2016

Director Sam Raimi explains how Evil Dead 4 became Ash Vs Evil Dead, and describes the various ideas we'll never see...

Forget the Necronomicon - the real secrets of demonic invocation are held deep within confines of the Ash Vs Evil Dead season one Blu-ray and DVD release. Hidden among the special features is a commentary from director and producer Sam Raimi as he sits down with his brother Ivan, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell.

Raimi remade Evil Dead with Fede Alvarez in 2013 and the team brought Ash Vs Evil Dead to Starz. That series, which debuted last October, took a lot of the ideas that would have gone into Evil Dead 4.

“Ivan and I wrote a lot of different versions of Evil Dead as a feature in the years after Army Of Darkness,” Raimi told ScreenRant. “We’d get 20 pages into one draft and realize it was not good,...

Bruce Campbell Talks Ash Vs Evil Dead
This Halloween, Ash Williams and his trusted chainsaw return in Starz's Ash vs Evil Dead series. Ahead of the pilot episode's premiere, Daily Dead took part in a roundtable interview call with the king himself, Bruce Campbell, who talked about the evolution of Ash, the show's connections (and in certain cases, lack thereof) to the Evil Dead films, getting splattered in fake blood, and much more.

On whether or not there's a connection between Ash vs Evil Dead and Fede Alvarez's 2013 Evil Dead film (in which Bruce made a brief after-credits cameo as Ash):

Bruce Campbell: No connection whatsoever. That was a director who had a whim, who goes, "I have this great idea. It has nothing to do with anything, but I want to do it." I was like, "Yes, whatever." So, no—no connection whatsoever.

On Ash "getting out in the wild" in the series:...

Rupert Friend Takes Aim In Ludicriously Violent New Trailer For Hitman: Agent 47
With Deadpool hitting the interwebs and Fantastic Four gracing theaters, it’s been a busy week for 20th Century Fox, and the studio is capping it all off with a ludicrously violent new trailer for Hitman: Agent 47.

Dropping the remixed “Voodoo Child” track that has been a staple of the film’s marketing pizzaz hitherto, the latest clip opens with Star Trek Into Darkness and American Horror Story‘s Zachary Quinto detailing the near-supernatural abilities of Rupert Friend’s titular assassin. Engineered as the perfect man-made killer, Agent 47 is an emotionless hired gun, capable of cleaning out an entire room of baddies with one arm tied behind his back.

For Aleksander Bach’s Hitman: Agent 47, though, Friend’s one-man army will set out an a mission to dismantle the organization that birthed him in the first place. It’s a plot that will force our protagonist to locate...

Bruce Campbell Is Still Planning 'Expendables' of Horror | Exclusive
Bruce Campbell
More than five years ago, Bruce Campbell first floated the idea of making an Expendables of Horror that brought in all of his most famous genre friends to fight a single threat in one movie. He was planning it as a sequel to his 2008 horror comedy My Name Is Bruce, which found the cult icon essentially playing himself. The new movie was to be called Bruce Vs. Frankenstein, but we haven't heard much about it since then. Last year, he started talking about it again, though at the time, he said the script sucked. We asked Campbell if Bruce Vs. Frankenstein was still happening, and he revealed that he is still in the process of writing the script. He says:

"Yeah! Never say never. I have a script that I'm working on that would pretty much be that. It's not ready to share at this point. It's in the pipeline I guess you could say.

Lff 2013: 'L'intrepido' review
★☆☆☆☆ Italian director Gianni Amelio returns to the fray with the hugely disappointing L'intrepido (A Lonely Hero, 2013), a hopelessly drab character study and alleged social satire. Celebrated comic actor Antonio Albanese plays Antonio, a Milanese Jack of all trades who subs for other workers when they need a few hours (or, indeed, a day off). One morning he can be found driving a tram, the next working the fish market, or in construction, or in a machine shop He's a fast learner and his gouty Mafioso fixer keeps the work rolling in - though he isn't quite as quick with paying Antonio his wages.

Antonio is divorced from his wife but has a loving son, Ivo (Gabriele Rendina), a saxophonist who's struggling with his musical career between the conservatory and nightclub gigs. Antonio also connects with a young woman, Lucia (Livia Rossi) - whom he meets in an exam and then...

Check out the trailer for Gia Coppola's film Palo Alto based on the James Franco book, starring James Franco
Jack of all trades (and master of none. Yeah, I said it) James Franco wrote a collection of interconnected short stories called Palo Alto that has now been adapted for the big screen. The film version is written and directed by Gia Coppola (yes, another Coppola) and stars James Franco, Val Kilmer, and Emma Roberts. We now have our first look at the trailer for the movie and it, surprisingly, looks pretty good. I say surprising because I read Palo Alto and was not impressed in the least....

TV on Tap: USA is Considering a “Burn Notice” Spin-Off and the “Worst Person in the World” Lives On
News

Burn Notice fans might not have to say goodbye to the whole team. TV Guide says that USA is considering a spin-off series focusing on Sam (Bruce Campbell) and Jesse (Coby Bell). There’s been something off about Burn Notice for me (even when they’re doing unnecessarily physical work for hacking jobs) ever since they cut back on the Miami locations, but perhaps a new series will be a solid reboot.

I guess I shouldn’t hope for a Jack of All Trades revival yet.

So far, I’m not particularly interested in The Blacklist which looks er, inspired by Silence of the Lambs with James Spader hamming it up instead. Now that TVLine reports that Parminder Nagra is joining that cast, I’m a little interested.

Between Orange Is the New Black, The Fosters, The Killing, Under the Dome, Mistresses and Pretty Little Liars, Vulture declares that...

James Franco, Critic, Takes on 'Gatsby' Detractors and Uses Annoying Character to Explain his Teenage Fingering Jealousy
Jack, le vengeur masqué (2000)
Jack of all trades James Franco has revived his burgeoning career as a cultural critic. We all know he got an advanced degree from Yale or Nyu or Columbia or something, and we may have read his take on HBO show "Girls" last year. Now, Franco is reviewing "The Great Gatsby" for, of course, Vice Magazine. Most of the review is a defense of director Baz Luhrmann's choices in updating the material somewhat for modern viewers. "f Luhrmann had used that [1920s jazz] music today," Franco says, "it would have been a museum piece -- irrelevant to mainstream and high culture alike, because they would've already known what’s coming." Franco defends Luhrmann's use of 3D with a shrug and a "You just deal with it because you want to. It’s fun to watch." The most exciting takeaway from Franco's review of "Gatsby" is his takedown of the character of Gatsby,...

What Renaissance Pictures did for geek TV
Feature David Menzies 12 Apr 2013 - 07:00

Would we have had Mutant Enemy or Bad Robot without Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Robert Tapert's Renaissance Pictures? David thinks not...

After 1992's Army Of Darkness, another Sam Raimi feature film wouldn't emerge in theatres for another three years. What Raimi did with the time in between is anybody's guess - perhaps he wandered the world; maybe he dug through a peculiar collection of Spider-Man comics with most of the dialogue cut out. But what he certainly did with his Renaissance Pictures partners was bring to light a new frontier of genre TV (cue heroic music and a narrator saying, "This is the story of a time long ago – a time of myth and legend. When the ancient gods were petty and cruel, and they plagued mankind with suffering, only one man dared to challenge their power...")

While Hercules may be one...

The HeyUGuys Interview: Mc Harvey Talks All Things to All Men
Mc Harvey is what you would call a Jack of all trades, as the former rapper – famed for his work with So Solid Crew – has since turned his head to acting, and following a role in The Big I Am, he returns in George Isaac’s All Things to All Men – and we discussed his role in the movie ahead of its forthcoming release.

Playing the part of criminal Curtis Carter, Mc Harvey – whose real name is Michael Harvey – discusses playing a role that feels somewhat close to home, with the films predominant setting taking place in the same area of London the actor was born. He also discusses his own future, as well as telling us where he feels his heart lies – as a performer who has formed careers for himself in music, acting and even professional football.

Keith Allen, actor – portrait of the artist
Actor Keith Allen talks about screaming popes, his daughter Lily – and the time he lived on a theatre stage

How did you get into acting?

I'd done performance art sporadically from about 1976 – very personal street things on my own. Acting seemed like a natural step from that. But I didn't really want to "be" anything: presenter, comic, actor. I just wanted to perform.

What was your big breakthrough?

I don't think I've ever broken through.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

A one-man show I did years ago called Whatever Happened to the AA Man's Salute. It was improvised, and ran for three or four weekends at the then Albany Empire in London. I was a squatter at the time, so I moved into the theatre and lived on the stage. I'd do the show right next to my bed.

Do you suffer for your art?

Yes – as...

Jack, le vengeur masqué (2000)
“Jack of all trades, master of none”. That’s a tag that Salman Khan doesn’t want to live with. The superstar has hence decided he is not going to buy any Ipl franchise. However he tweeted, “No Ipl team for me just being human and movies.” Some have however said that Salman may not have enough money to buy the team. As the last Ipl teams of Kochi Tuskers and Pune Warriors were bought at a substantial amount of 1600 and 1900 crores respectively. &...

That’s more of a decision on my behalf. The way the show has been structured for seven years was going to be structured dramatically different, you know, as not having Kyra there.

Bruce Springsteen Smashes Manchester With His Wrecking Ball – Review
It was a typical British summer’s night at the Etihad on Friday night, waterproofs, scarves and woolly hats all making an unwanted reappearance from the wardrobe. But no-one was ever going to care, after all, it’s not often you’re able to see a true legend perform right in front of your eyes.

If you look up cool in the dictionary, you’ll find a picture of Bruce Springsteen…he’s not only cool, he’s effortlessly cool, unlike ‘stars’ of the music world today who have to resort to gimmicky names (Will.i.am) or taking all their clothes off (Rihanna and pretty much the majority of female pop artists).

Bruce put the younger artists of the world to shame, with his epic 30 track set lasting 3 hours 17 minutes (without intermission) proving that at 62 years of age he still has the energy to outdo even the best of...

Surf's Up! Hot Rock, Pop, Soul Singles for Summer 2012
While our managing editor Steve Holtje has done a bang-up job sharing phenomenal Jazz and Classical reviews, I thought I'd share some of my favorite new rock, pop, and soul picks for Summer 2012. It's time for BBQs and beach blanket bingo parties. Time to get your swag on, peoples.

"Radiator Sister" - The Mynabirds Generals (Saddle Creek) - Infectious, bubble-gum snappin' tunes abound on this sophomore long player from singer-songwriter Laura Burhenn. All aptly produced by Richard Swift, but for my limited ducats this iPod-friendly ditty is the bees-ness. Equal parts Bow Wow Wow and T.Rex, with its two-note piano hook.

"Among the Leaves" Sun Kil Moon Among the Leaves (Caldo Verde) - Mark Kozelek remains steadfast in his musical offerings; familiar turf, but still so damn compelling. Alt tunings, heartfelt ballads, and lyrical dexterity all remain firmly in place. The gentle tug of his band behind him keep...

Eureka, Season 5, Episode 8, “In Too Deep”

Written by Terri Hughes Burton and Ron Milbauer

Directed by Colin Ferguson

Airs Mondays at 9pm Et on SyFy

“In Too Deep” breaks the trend of weaker episodes over the last couple of weeks by providing a well-written episode full of comedy, drama, excitement and major events for multiple characters. Interestingly, the last quality episode (“Jack of All Trades”) was directed by series star Colin Ferguson (Sheriff Carter) who also directs “In Too Deep.”

Carter surprises Allison with a well-planned lunch in an underwater lab. Carter tries to provide a relaxing time, but tension rises as Allison becomes increasingly frustrated with him. The writers do an incredible job of not only building what looks to be engagement-ending tension but they also create a series of potentially catastrophic events within the lab that matches the course of the couple’s relationship issues. Ferguson and Salli Richardson-Whitfield...

The Boss Slams Bankers Calling Thme 'Greedy Thieves' And 'Robber Barrons'
Bruce Springsteen at an event for 2009 Golden Globe Awards (2009)
Berlin, May 30 - Rocker Bruce Springsteen touched on a nerve of widespread discontent with the financiers and bankers at a Berlin concert on Wednesday, railing against them as "greedy thieves" and "robber barons."

Springsteen, a singer-songwriter dubbed "The Boss" who has long championed populist causes, played to a sold-out crowd at Berlin's Olympic Stadium, singing from his album "Wrecking Ball" and speaking about tough economic times that have put people out of work worldwide and led to debt crises in Greece and other countries.

"In America, a lot of people have lost their jobs," said Springsteen, 62, who performed for three hours to some 58,000 fans in the packed stadium that hosted the 1936 Olympics and the 2006 World Cup final.

"But also in Europe and in Berlin, times are tough," he added, speaking in fluent German. "This song is for all those who are struggling." He then introduced "Jack of All Trades", a...

From the archive, 17 May 1990: Sammy Davis Jnr obituary
The entertainer's great drive and perfectionism came from his massive insecurity

Sammy Davis Jnr was the complete entertainer. In an age of specialisation even in show business, the little black American was an outstanding night-club singer, comedian and dancer, and an able character actor when his enormous ego was under control.

Trained in vaudeville, he was equally effective in Broadway musicals and in the new media of movies and television. When he wrote his autobiography in his forties, he had already lived a full show business life and justifiably summed up his all-round career with the title Yes, I Can. Sammy Davis Jnr was one Jack of all trades who was master of all.

Born in New York, he came from a theatrical family and claimed to have begun his career at the age of three, making a first appearance on stage with his father and his uncle. Certainly he was in a movie,...

Eureka Ep. 5.05: “Jack of All Trades” provides many different emotional beats
Eureka Review, Season 5, Episodwe 5, “Jack of All Trades”

Written by Jaime Paglia and Eric Wallace

Directed by Jaime Paglia

Airs Mondays at 9pm Et on SyFy

This week’s Eureka provides laughs, body swapping, an emotional confession, a dark moment, a potential character departure and a marriage proposal. That’s a lot of ups and downs for one episode, but “Jack of All Trades” reaches these extremes with ease.

Residual effects from the Matrix are still occurring as Jack’s conscience first swaps bodies with Fargo, then Zane, and finally Allison. It appears that since Jack was the only one connected to the Matrix wirelessly, his brain is acting as a sort of WiFi hotspot. The swaps occur randomly and make for some mostly hilarious situations.

Some of the actors, particularly Colin Ferguson (Jack), Erica Cerra (Jo), Kavan Smith (Andy), and Joe Morton (Henry) find themselves playing outside of character...

'Eureka' 'Worst Case Scenario': Carter gets that sinking feeling
In "Eureka" "Jack of All Trades," Carter (Colin Ferguson) switched bodies with a number of people. One of the funniest episodes in the show so far. In "Worst Case Scenario," Carter is called to check out a communications tower, which is strangely shorter than it should be.

As his vehicle (that poor thing) gets sucked into the ground and he starts doing the same, Carter realizes that something is wrong in Eureka again. Check out the sneak peek below and let us know what you think.

In addition, here are a few bonus clips from "Jack of All Trades." We want to know what you think. Is the Carter/Jo (Erica Cerra) dynamic going to spell more trouble for Allison (Salli Richardson-Whitfield)? Spill your thoughts below.

Eureka Review: I Am Jack's Consciousness
It’s good to see things getting back to normal in Eureka. From random meat exploding to Martha going crazy and Jack swapping bodies with random people, it seems like another typical day in "Jack of All Trades."

We call all agree that no matter how quiet things are, the moment Warren Hughes crosses into Eureka’s city limits, it’s all going to start going horribly wrong. Okay, that’s not fair, it’s not Warren’s fault. Things go sideways regardless of his visits. It’s just funnier when he visits!

Of course, the big shocker was Jack proposing to Allison and her accepting! We also had the tiny glimmer of hope that Holly’s consciousness might still be in the Matrix. I wish they had made a little bigger deal about Fargo’s decision to turn off the Matrix and risk losing the information. For such a tough choice,...

Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book to be adapted by Disney
Inspired by The Jungle Book, Neil Gaiman's children's fantasy novel The Graveyard Book is the tale of Bod, a young boy raised by ghosts from a baby in a graveyard he soon grows up to call home. As he grows older he finds himself in danger from The Jack Of All Trades, a mysterious society that have been searching for him since he was born. A screen adaption of the book was already rumoured with Neil Jordan at the helm, but that project is now dead in the water. Recent developments have seen the rights to the novel snapped up by Disney, with director Henry Selick, best known for A Nightmare Before Christmas, James And The Giant Peach, and another Neil Gaiman adaption Coraline, attached. There is now word whether the movie will be live action or stop motion like the bulk of Selick's work, but his last live...

'The Pauly D Project' season premiere: It's no 'Jersey Shore'
The basic premise of "The Pauly D Project," "Jersey Shore's" first spinoff, is that DJ Pauly Del Vecchio (the one with the product-enabled high hair) snags a deejaying gig in Las Vegas and transports his entire entourage West when he relocates.

Thursday's (March 29) opening episode was all about making the transition from Pauly's humble home in Rhode Island to the big, shiny city where -- in a Palms Las Vegas suite -- he marvels that he has, "bathrooms inside of bathrooms you have to go through to get to the bathroom. I could s*** all day."

That's right, the dialogue is every bit as gripping as that of its parent show, but what's missing -- refreshingly -- is "Jersey Shore's" trashtastic focus on, well, getting trashed. Instead, viewers are along for the ride as Pauly tries to up his star wattage by doing actual work. Yes, the work...

Bruce Springsteen – Wrecking Ball Album Review
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Wrecking Ball is as subtle as the title suggests. Listening to the majority of Bruce Springsteen’s seventeen studio albums, it is obvious he has never been one to duck in behind someone and poke his head out whenever the coast is clear. Springsteen, as he has done and will continue to do, marches right out and puts himself in the firing line. Perhaps to some people, an album so heavily influenced by global depression and political uncertainty could prove monotonous. Those people are wrong. He’s called The Boss for a reason.

The album begins with We Take Care of Our Own, a song immediately distinguishable as Classic Springsteen. A marching drum beat punches this patriotic sound, echoing the lines “Wherever this flag is flown/ we take care of our own”. Springsteen has always reached for those anthems that you can imagine festival crowds screaming back at him.

Bruce Springsteen's Wrecking Ball Is About Keeping Dreams Alive
Bruce Springsteen at an event for 2009 Golden Globe Awards (2009)
It's fitting that the two most exhilarating tracks on Bruce Springsteen's new album, Wrecking Ball, are the only ones featuring his beloved E Street Band sideman Clarence Clemons, that giant of a saxman who died last June. First there's the title cut, which starts as a folky strummer then builds to a rousing anthem for persevering through life's most brutal blows. When Springsteen repeatedly sings the line "Hard times come and hard times go” like a mantra, you can just feel him summoning all his considerable strength and spirit to carry on in the wake of the Big Man's death.

Bruce Springsteen's 'Wrecking Ball': Singer's Angry New Album Reviewed
Bruce Springsteen at an event for 2009 Golden Globe Awards (2009)
-- Bruce Springsteen, "Wrecking Ball" (Columbia)

Nearly three decades ago, Bruce Springsteen wrote with sadness about a man showing his young son a hometown ravaged by outside economic forces, a town the family was about to leave.

He's not sad now. He's angry, mighty angry. On the new song, "Death to My Hometown," he wants to "send the robber barons straight to hell, the greedy thieves who came around and ate the flesh of everything they found, whose crimes have gone unpunished now, who walk the streets as free men now."

With economic injustice, Springsteen's powerful new disc has a subject he can sink his teeth into, and he matches it with music that has some of the same clenched fury.

The working man who "always loved the feel of sweat on my shirt" now wakes up each morning feeling imprisoned in a system stacked against him. In "Jack of All Trades,...

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning – Preview
A completely new universe from Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and Oblivion’s lead designer, Ken Rolston and New York Times best-selling author R. A. Salvatore. So it’s a bit of a cliché when a trio, who are all powerhouses in their own right come together to create an epic game. I’m sure you’ve heard it all before and unfortunately it doesn’t always turn out how anyone expected. However, there are those occasions when it does knit together perfectly, and Kingdom of Amalur seems to be heading this way.

Kingdoms of Amalur, has 4 playable races and 3 classes to choose from, the Almain (Human Noble), Varani (Normadic Human), Ljosalfar (Elf) and Dokkalfar (Dark Elf). The classes are Might, Finesse and Sorcery, which is the traditional Warrior, Rogue, Mage that infects most RPGs now, the difference with Kingdom of Amalur is that these are class...

Bruce Springsteen Returns With New Album, Wrecking Ball
Springsteen's first album since the death of E Street sax man Clarence Clemons is due in March.

Late last year, in a message posted on his official site, Bruce Springsteen let fans know that he and the E Street Band were putting the finishing touches on a new album — their first since the death of iconic sax man Clarence Clemons — and concluded by promising "we'll get back to you real soon."

Well, now he has. On Thursday (January 19), Springsteen announced a brand-new album, Wrecking Ball, and premiered the first single, "We Take Care of Our Own," over on his site. The album, due March 5, was produced by Ron Aniello and Springsteen, features 11 tracks, and, according to longtime manager Jon Landau, finds the Boss tackling decidedly of-the-moment issues.

"Bruce has dug down as deep as he can to come up...

Bruce Springsteen is back, the Boss has come out strong for the working class.

The blue collar rock legend and the E Street Band has released "We Take Care Of Our Own,' the first single off their new album, "Wrecking Ball." Due out in the UK on March 5th and the Us on March 6th, the album is a politically charged work said to be up there with his most provocative.

"Bruce has dug down as deep as he can to come up with this vision of modern life," manager John Landau said. "The lyrics tell a story you can't hear anywhere else and the music is his most innovative in recent years. The writing is some of the best of his career and both veteran fans and those who are new to Bruce will find much to love on 'Wrecking Ball.'"

Real Spit: CyHi the Prynce figured he would end the summer the same way he started: with a free mixtape. In June, the G.O.O.D. Music soldier released Royal Flush 2 to much fanfare and as August rolled to a close, the Mc once again got to work with his Jack of All Trades tape.

The Atlanta rapper teamed with both DJ Scream and DJ Spinz to gather a bunch of familiar instrumentals that would showcase his rhyme skills. As far as the title of the tape, it's all pretty simple if you let the Prynce tell it.
