Aparadektoi was and probably is the best series that Greek TV has produced. Personally I would rank it with a 10 out of 10.
The major evidence? They were produced in 1991 and we still watch them and we laugh in the same way.
A lot of people are asking MEGA Channel (the TV channel which was showing them) to re-transmit them but for one reason or another, they never do.
Fortunately, some days ago MEGA channel had its 15-year celebration and it showed some of the episodes but they were not enough (obviously!)
Anyway, if you are a Greek somewhere in US, Australia or Europe don't miss the chance to try to find them whether on-line or in a video-club. You 'll then understand what you were missing!

"Oi Aparadektoi" is, to me, the best comedy series ever to hit Greek TV! Apart from the witty lines, it is a satire on the ever-expanding Greek middle class society (a trait of 90's Greece), its angst and its aspirations. The fact that one of the main characters is a gay man (living with a prolific womanizer!) adds to the groundbreaking element of the series (as much as this tells of the sad, backward-thinking Greek society). Dimitra Papadopoulou is undoubtedly the most talented comedy writer in Greek TV but unfortunately for the rest of us, does not feel compelled to cough up series after series and maybe that is why her scripts are brimming with observational quality. If you are Greek try and download it from somewhere - repetitive viewing only makes it better!
And one more thing: although this is a bitter comment, it is sad that series such as this one were less successful than low-brow, "pure family" brain-dead series such as Para Pente, which relies on silly puns and "all-ages" characters and, if anything, shows that Greeks have returned to the 60's and its "age of innocence".
Please, bring back the satire!

Through the humor and the daily stories of the protagonists, he captured the reality of the Greek society of that time without taboos and prejudices.
This is the best Greek comedy TV show ever and that's because there was real "chemistry" among the cast. They had bonded so much that the viewer could say they were actually living their lives just like in the show. A very, very funny show. I just wish that Mega channel would play that more often because we are sick of watching the reviews of shows such as "To Retire" which was far worse than most of the channel's other productions. Or they could just release the TV show on DVD since they don't play its reviews. There definitely would be no loss for the channel.

Papadopoulou and the rest of the cast shine in this great sitcom which marked the 90s.Highly recommended and often repeated on TV.Enjoy!

- TriviaThe series was broadcast from September 1991 to January 1993, for a total of 49 episodes. Mega Channel has several times planned to revive the series with additional episodes, since it has become one of the highest rated Greek sitcoms from the 1990s and a hit in reruns. Screenwriter Dimitra Papadoulou was at first not interested in a revival. Since the death of co-protagonist Vlassis Bonatsos in 2004, Papadopoulou has been actively against any revival. She feels that Bonatsos can not be replaced.
