When Macedão's minions invade the Dois Corações school for the first time, Barbara tells that she was named after a blonde doll. This refers to the Barbie doll, which was created in 1959 but wasn't available in Brazil until 1982. As the movie is set in Brazil in 1999 and Barbara is clearly a woman in her early thirties, she was born in the 1960s, before Barbie was released in the country so it's impossible for any Brazilian female to have been named after Barbie before 1982.
