    great series. Must be seen

fantastic TV-series. Very authentic. A must for everyone who wants to know more about life in rural Flanders in those days, and social, religion, and political situation in Belgium. Great acting performances Great casting. Wonderful setting in the beautiful region of Zichem. Magnificent production and direction Great performance of the late Luc Philips as the priest Munte, Jo De Meyere as Herman Coene and many others. One of the first roles of the great Jan Decleir, probably the greatest Belgian actor ever. I won't spoil your pleasure by saying anything about the plot but if you haven't seen this production you really missed something.
