The Jersey

The Best (& Worst) Episode of Every Season of The X-Files
Image
The X-Files is a mystery in its own right because not only did it manage to pioneer a new sub-genre of sci-fi in the early '90s, but it also managed to collect an abundance of new fans every day. The show centers around Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, two FBI agents who spend their days uncovering the dark underbelly of the supernatural and strive to bring it to light. Thus, it's easy to say that this show has everything: monsters, aliens, and a ferocious slow-burn romance plot.

Even when the show returned in 2016 for two limited seasons, fans were impressed with how easily David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were able to slip into their roles again. As such, fans, new and old, often rave about their favorite episodes and discuss why The X-Files had such a big impact on popular culture. However, audiences would be lying if they said...

Gremlins 2: Greta, The Female Gremlin, Explained (& Why She's The Only One)
Image
There is only one female gremlin in Gremlins 2: The New Batch and Greta is as memorable as any of the new little monsters introduced in the second Gremlins movie. Gremlins 2: The New Batch had a bit of a resurgence after the hilarious parody sketch by Key & Peele reminded viewers just how off-the-wall the sequel to the classic Christmas horror movie really is. Once again, Gizmo, the mogwai from the first film, gets himself wet and multiplying, though now he's splitting in the Big Apple rather than small town Kingston Falls.

Because Gizmo is at the mercy of a mad scientist, played by the late Christopher Lee, his clones end up drinking his sciency-serums, resulting in hybrid gremlins who take the form of everything from gargoyles to literal animated electricity monsters. That's not even the most bizarre part of the wonderfully campy sequel. That honor belongs to former wrestler...

The Jersey Shore star shared footage from the incident, which occurred last Thursday at his Holmdel home in Monmouth County.

Their terrifying incident and the couple handling it smoothly was captured via Ring camera footage from inside their home.

Ronnie Magro in Bienvenue à Jersey Shore (2009)
Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola was ‘not fond of filming’ with her ex Ronnie Ortiz-Magro for spinoff
Ronnie Magro in Bienvenue à Jersey Shore (2009)
Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola wasn’t thrilled she had to film again with her ex Ronnie Ortiz-Magro on Family Vacation Season 7.

The Jersey Shore castmates dated throughout the show’s original run on MTV and for several years afterward, but they officially broke up in 2016.

After the breakup, Sammi stayed away from reality TV as she healed and matured from her and Ronnie’s tumultuous relationship.

Ronnie appeared as a cast member on multiple seasons of the spinoff Family Vacation but stepped away within the past few years to work on his sobriety and mental health.

Meanwhile, Sammi returned to join most of her castmates for Family Vacation Season 6, with episodes airing last year.

She avoided seeing Ronnie as he returned to visit with his castmates for several episodes and started to make amends for his past behavior. However, Sammie and Ronnie will cross paths in Season 7 as it was revealed...

It’s the Bravo-conomy, Stupid!
Image
Jennifer Aydin, a Real Housewives of New Jersey castmember, works the Glam Stage at BravoCon like a QVC pitchwoman. “Do you ever go to a plastic surgeon, and they put in filler and move it around?” she asks her rapt crowd, clutching a U-shaped pillow. “That’s because it moves. Sleep with one of these, and your filler, your lashes, those brows and your lovely lips will all stay intact.”

A few dozen hands shoot up, iPhones raised like auction paddles to snap the Qr code projected across the towering screens. Everybody in this Las Vegas convention hall is only one tap away from buying Aydin’s miracle cushion — just a cotton travel pillow, really — at a small discount from its usual $49.99. Bravo owner NBCUniversal receives a revenue share from each purchase, the emcee offers as a disclaimer at the top of the panel, but the media giant will net...

‘Reed’s Point’ Review
Image
Stars: Madison Ekstrand, Evan Adams, Sasha Anne, Clint Carmichael, Joe Estevez, Anthony Jensen, Julia Kelly | Written by Sandy Lo, Tricia Aurand, Suzanne DeLaurentiis | Directed by Dale Fabrigar

Reed’s Point reunites several of the people behind 2018’s D-Railed, including director Dale Fabrigar (They Crawl Beneath), and co-writer Suzanne DeLaurentiis (Area 401) who wrote the script along with Sandy Lo and Tricia Aurand (Middleton Christmas). I found it to be a fun mash-up of monsters, ghosts, and a heist gone wrong. So a film from them about The Jersey Devil seemed like it had a chance to be the first film about the creature to actually be good.

It starts with Kelsey (Madison Ekstrand) her boyfriend Alex (Evan Adams; The Wrong Valentine) and cousin Sarah (Sasha Anne) joining Kelsey’s father Greg on a business Rv trip. However, on the way to pick up the client, the driver swerves to avoid a deer and crashes.

Michael Galeota, Courtnee Draper, Theo Greenly, and Jermaine Williams in The Jersey (1999)
Michael Galeota, the child star best known for his work on Disney Channel's The Jersey, died Sunday in California. The 31-year-old was found in his Glendale residence, E! reported, initially attributing his death to natural causes. (The L.A. County Coroner's office told the outlet Galeota dealt with "abdominal pain, hypertension, and high cholesterol.") Further examination is scheduled for later on Tuesday. "[Galeota] was a precious gift — loving, giving, compassionate, joyful and intelligent," wrote his brother Jimmy, on a GoFundMe page created Monday. "His humble nature hid a great compassionate and loving human being, with a huge heart." Galeota was a familiar face in movies and TV shows of the ’90s and early 2000s, including The Baby-Sitters Club, Bailey Kipper's P.O.V., Bushwhacked, Clubhouse Detectives, ER, and, most notably, The Jersey, where he had a starring role that also became his last. Psycho Prequel Series Being Developed at A&E
There seems to have been a lot of interesting TV shows announced this week. First there was a Dracula series, then a Green Arrow series, now we've learned that the A&E network is developing a series that will play out as a prequel to Alfred Hitchcock's classic film Psycho.

The series will be called Bates Motel, and it will "delve into how Norman Bates’ dark, twisted backstory from childhood through his teen years and will chronicle how his mother, Norma, and her lover damaged Norman, helping shape the most well-known serial killing motel owner in history."

Now this is a series I can get behind 100 percent! I love the idea of seeing Bates' backstory! There's a lot of potential for a drama series like this, and I already can't wait to see what it will bring us.

The series is being written by Anthony Cipriano who has written...
