An old sea captain and his student decide to take part in the international regatta. At the same time an amateur thief steals a statue of Aphrodite from Louvre and boards their yacht by mistake. A long, fun adventure is ahead.

Former sea captain Christophor Bonifatievich Vrungel is offered to participate in the international sailing regatta for single-yacht yachts around the world, arranged by a foreign yacht club. He agrees and with the help of his assistant and student Loma builds a yacht called "Victory".
