8/10

Great Movie and very funny!

This is the first film from Paolo Berger and the Director of Photography is Alex de la Iglesia who is now one of the best Spanish Directors.

This movie reminds the War of the Worlds, there are some scenes from that movie. Cecilio Abascal, Batman, it is a funny character and the best one is Ramon Barea. The actions is in the future in a place called Erandio, a little town near Bilbao. An Alien invasion is taking place and this family is hiding from those aliens in a little cave under their house.

If you have a chance, See the movie! It is worthy

It has won a few prices in few Spanish and German festivals.

A fascinating short, if you can get your hands on it.

Pablo Berger's short "Mama" is well-worth seeing, if only for its very unique style. Its an offbeat story, to be sure-- a family is forced to live in a basement after some kind of nuclear holocaust, and has to deal with an overbearing grandmother and a little boy who always wears a Batman costume-- but it is by no means inaccessible. It is also very very funny. An excellent short, as are Mr. Berger's others... so why have we never seen him helm a feature?
