MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ Midweek Ratings Plunge 15% After Hosts Visit Trump at Mar-a-Lago
Image
Ratings continue to sunset at MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” after the hosts surprised audiences earlier this week by announcing they had gone to visit Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago following years of feuding with him.

On Wednesday, MSNBC’s morning mainstay lured an average of 647,000 viewers overall, and just 51,000 viewers between 25 and 54, the demographic most coveted by advertisers in news programming. On Monday, the four-hour program reached 770,000 overall and 86,000 viewers in the demo, meaning Wednesday’s overall audience fell by 15% and its viewership among people between 25 and 54 tumbled nearly 41%.

The figures mark the second consecutive decline in viewership since co-anchors Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski told viewers Monday that they had gone to visit the former and soon-to-be next U.S. President at his home in Florida in a bid to reach a sort of detente after years of criticizing him on the program. On Tuesday, the four-hour broadcast of the show captured 680,000 total viewers,...

Ke Huy Quan in Back to Business (2025)
Love Hurts : This Real State Agent was secretly a former assasin
Ke Huy Quan in Back to Business (2025)
Love Hurts marks the directorial debut of stuntman Jonathan Eusebio, previously the assistant director on notable films such as 300, Black Panther, and John Wick. Now, he’s stepping into the spotlight, writing and directing his own film, Love Hurts. The lead actor is Ke Huy Quan, who finally got his big break after receiving much-deserved recognition at the Oscars and Golden Globes. This former child star, known for his roles as Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Data in The Goonies, nearly gave up on acting due to the lack of opportunities and constant rejections at auditions. He eventually shifted to working behind the scenes as a choreographer. Hollywood’s lack of inclusivity for Asian male actors at the time contributed to his struggle. However, Ke Huy Quan was inspired to return to acting during the “Asian August” of 2018, when films like Searching and...

Ke Huy Quan snaps into action in the trailer for Love Hurts
Image
No matter how hard you try, you can’t break up with your past. Universal Pictures has just released the trailer for Love Hurts.

This Valentine’s Day, Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan rockets into his first major leading man role as an unlikely hero, a seemingly mild-mannered realtor with a dark secret that he is desperate to leave behind. Spoiler alert: He won’t.

From 87North—producers of the groundbreaking action films Nobody, Violent Night, Bullet Train, Atomic Blonde and The Fall Guy—comes a visceral, high-octane story of wrath and revenge.

Quan stars as Marvin Gable, a realtor working the Milwaukee suburbs, where ‘For Sale’ signs bloom. Gable receives a crimson envelope from Rose, a former partner-in-crime that he had left for dead. She’s not happy. Now, Marvin is thrust back into a world of ruthless hitmen, filled with double-crosses and open houses turned into deadly warzones.

Anna Kendrick Got the Best Deal in Twilight That Surpassed Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewart: “I felt like a bystander”
Image
Anna Kendrick is popularly known among fans for her roles in the Pitch Perfect and The Twilight Saga film series. Her performance as Jessica Stanley in the latter elevated her career significantly. Although the supernatural film series, based on Stephenie Meyer’s books, catapulted the success of the entire cast, Kendrick feels that she got the best deal of all.

Following the release of 2008’s Twilight, Edward Cullen and Bella Swan became household names. The success ensured multiple sequels based on the remaining three novels. However, Anna Kendrick claimed that her side role as Jessica Stanley allowed her to have a unique experience and not face any negative impact of stardom.

Bruce Springsteen on Disney+ Doc ‘Road Diary,’ Longevity and Audience Connection
Image
London got a taste of The Boss on Friday evening.

Bruce Springsteen took to a smaller stage than he is used to in the British capital on Friday evening, discussing the concert documentary Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band during an event organized by Disney+, which will premiere the film with Hulu on Oct. 25.

Following a screening of the doc, a Q&a that featured The Boss, who was welcomed with a standing ovation, long-time friend and band member Stevie Van Zandt and director Thom Zimny, as well as producer and Springsteen manager Jon Landau, provided additional insight. The session was moderated by Scottish radio DJ and TV host Edith Bowman.

“If you get the art right, the music right and the band right, you go out and play every night like it’s your last night on Earth,” Springsteen said about the longevity of the band.

Venom: The Last Dance Box Office Tracking Points To Franchise Low Opening; New TV Spot & Poster Released
Image
Despite negative reviews and a mixed response from the majority of comic book fans, the previous Venom movies both performed very well at the box office. Could the final instalment in the trilogy, this month's Venom: The Last Dance, buck the trend?

Updated box office tracking is in, and according to Deadline, Sony Pictures' threequel looks set for a $70 million opening weekend when it arrives in theaters on October 25.

While this wouldn't be a bad debut by any means and would still be the second best opening of 2024 for a comic-book feature after Deadpool & Wolverine's $211.4 million (not that there was much in the way of competition out there), it would mark the lowest opening of the franchise. The first Venom took in $80.2 million in 2028, while the more positively-received sequel, 2021's Let There Be Carnage, made $90 million.

We really don't see Venom 3 flopping given the popularity of the earlier movies, but if it underperforms,...

Ariana Grande & Bowen Yang Kiss To Break “Crazy Tension” In ‘SNL’ Sketch
Image
One of the Saturday Night Live moments that got a roaring reaction this week was Ariana Grande and Bowen Yang kissing.

The moment occurs in a sketch where Grande plays a mother meeting her son’s (Michael Longfellow) new boyfriend (Yang).

The family plays charades in the sketch, and Michael notes that his mom “is a teensy bit competitive.”

“Oh, hush honey, I do not,” Grande says.

As they start the game of charades, Bowen showcases his skill at charades, which shows another side of Grande.

“Heck yeah! In your face, Diane,” Bowen tells Grande’s character, to which she replies, “Well, that wasn’t necessary.”

Bowen tries to clear it up that he was just playing around and Grande’s Diane asks, “You got a tiny pecker or something?”

Grande’s Diane becomes unhinged and says, “Well, you must be compensating for something, you poor, sick loser.”

Bowen and...

Venom: The Last Dance TV Spot Reveals First Official Look At Venomized Frog And Fish

If you thought that horse from the trailer would be the only animal that gets taken over by the Symbiote in Venom: The Last Dance, think again!

Sony Pictures has released a new TV spot for the upcoming Ssu threequel, giving us a first official glimpse of Venomized frog and fish (Vrog and Vish?), along with another look at Venom taking down some goons.

It looks like we will only see these Venomized aquatic creatures in a brief sequence with the Symbiote jumping from host to host, which probably isn't going to be much of an issue for many fans - unless you happen to be more interested in the adventures of Frog Venom than Eddie Brock... which might well be a possibility, come to think of it.

Steve Carell Starred In The Most Expensive Comedy Movie Ever Made And It Bombed At The Box Office
Image
The Steve Carell movie Evan Almighty was at one time the most expensive comedy movie ever, in addition to being an enormous box office bomb. The 2007 movie was a sequel to 2003's Bruce Almighty, which starred Jim Carrey in the title role. The follow-up, which featured an ensemble cast that included Morgan Freeman, Lauren Graham, John Goodman, John Michael Higgins, Jimmy Bennett, and Wanda Sykes, focused on the story of a previously minor Bruce Almighty supporting character named Evan Baxter who was played by Carell, who had since risen to fame playing Michael Scott on the sitcom The Office.

In addition to being a television star, Carell would go on to be a major movie star. One of his best-known roles is voicing the reformed supervillain Gru in the Despicable Me movies, but he has held many major roles outside of the animated franchise in both comedies and dramas. This...

Chimp Crazy Season 1 Episode 3 Head Shot Airs September 1 2024 on HBO
Chimp Crazy (2024)
In the highly anticipated third episode of “Chimp Crazy,” titled “Head Shot,” viewers can expect a blend of drama and ethical questions. The episode, airing at 10:01 Pm on Sunday, September 1, 2024, on HBO, features actor Alan Cumming, who brings a special connection to Tonka, the beloved chimpanzee at the center of the show. Cumming adds a generous ,000 to the reward for Tonka’s whereabouts, raising the stakes for everyone involved.

The storyline draws parallels to a previous PETA case that took a dangerous turn in Oregon, forcing the crew to confront their own values and the implications of their actions. This twist adds depth to the narrative, prompting questions about animal rights and the responsibilities of those who work with animals in the entertainment industry.

Image
The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 started with a bang.

Just days after the Season 17 reunion was filmed, Shannon Beador received a DUI, and it has been a hot topic of conversation among the women.

Add in Alexis Bellino, and it was the making of what could be a nightmare season for the Rhoc star.

However, Shannon has taken it in stride and appears to resonate with viewers.

Taglines were recently revealed, and when Shannon’s was revealed, she received an outpouring of support.

Hers is, “Even in the harshest of times, this Storms will always weather it.”

Tamra Judge slammed for ‘classless’ Rhoc Season 18 tagline
Image
The Real Housewives of Orange County is off to an excellent start for Season 18.

Episode 1 hit the airwaves earlier this month, and the buzz surrounding the dynamics among the cast is at an all-time high.

As Season 18 starts, the ladies’ taglines have been revealed, and Tamra Judge is catching flak for hers.

Adding Tamra back into the mix helped boost visibility and keep viewers interested, even if only for her antics.

With the return of Alexis Bellino, the tension among the women is high. This time, though, Jesus Jugs and Tamra are on the same side.

Viewers can expect nothing less than Tamra stirring the pot this season, especially regarding Shannon Beador. The two had a falling out after Shannon’s DUI in September, and now, it’s game on.

The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 is taking over Bravo.

Shannon Beador had a tough Season 17, especially the reunion, where she was quizzed about her alcohol usage.

John Janssen broke up with Shannon following Season 17’s wrapping, which was also discussed during the reunion.

And just days later, Shannon was arrested for DUI after leaving John’s home. Initially, he was there for her, and then things changed.

They both claimed they were only friends, but Shannon has seemingly changed her tune.

Here’s what Shannon had to say about her relationship with John and how it all went down.

Shannon Beador reveals she was dating John at the time of DUI

Despite the couple splitting after Season 17 wrapped, Shannon Beador says the two were dating after reconciling months later.

The Rhoc star spoke exclusively to People, revealing that she and John saw each other privately but hadn’t made things public.

Although Season 18 of The Real Housewives of Orange County has only aired one episode, the drama is already top-tier.

Alexis Bellino is happy to share everything about her love life with John Janssen—Shannon Beador’s ex-boyfriend, who has appeared on several episodes of Rhoc with her.

The season premiere featured the two women talking at Heather Dubrow’s party, and it was very clear Alexis was standing her ground about her “Johnny J” and didn’t care what Shannon thought.

However, Shannon has seemingly moved on with her life, even indicating she wasn’t interested in anything related to her ex.

When a news article revealed that Shannon had been dating John before her DUI in September 2023, Alexis decided she was calling out her Rhoc castmate.

And she did it to the tune of Crazy by Patsy Cline.

Willie Nelson Starred in This Western Inspired by His Concept Album
Image
Willie Nelson returned to performing after illness, and his 1975 album inspired the 1986 Western film Red Headed Stranger. Nelson starred as a preacher whose faith is tested, and the film's success showcased his acting and music abilities. The film's story was influenced by the album's continuous throughline and featured songs like "Red Headed Stranger" and "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain."

Following a prolonged illness that kept him away from the stage, American singer-songwriter Willie Nelson made a glorious return to perform in front of the public this past 4th of July. Whether his health concerns continue, the iconoclastic 91-year-old always marches to his drum beat and does what's in his best creative interests. Case in point, Nelson famously starred in a Western movie based on a music album he released more than a decade prior.

Inspired by Nelson's 1975 album of the same name, Red Headed Stranger is a 1986 revisionist Western starring Nelson as Julian Shay,...

The double album is due out September 20th via Silver Current Records, but to hold fans over, the indie rock act also shared two previously unreleased songs, “Shout You Down” and “I Wanna Live.” Listen to them both below.

Uncollected Noise New York ’88-’90 marks the first release of vaulted material for Galaxie 500 in nearly three decades. Featuring B-sides, outtakes, and non-album material, the compilation also boasts eight never-before-heard cuts.

“There is a sweetness in hearing the progression of us finding our own sound, our own collective voice. The Proustian power of music,” bassist Naomi Yang said in a statement. “Listening to these early recordings I can hear myself figuring out how I wanted to play bass — finding my way up the neck to where the notes would cut through, where there could be a counter-melody to the singing.

‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’ Brings Back Crazy Frog For Early Aughts Nostalgic Music Video
Image
Axel Foley is back for another onscreen mission, and he brought another nostalgic figure we never thought we’d see again.

In celebration of Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, Netflix has teamed up with early aughts ringtone icon Crazy Frog for a music video that pits him against the titular detective reprised by Eddie Murphy.

The pairing might appear random, given that Crazy Frog was a Swedish CGI-animated Eurodance character created in 2003, nearly a decade after Beverly Hills Cop III was released in 1994. But the character created by Erik Wernquist noted in the description of the YouTube video that he and Axel F “have been an iconic duo since 2005.”

Crazy Frog previously released a cover of ‘Axel F’, the original 1984 movie’s electronic theme song by German musician Harold Faltermeyer, which reached the top of the charts across most of Europe in 2005. His latest video offers a whole new remix of the track.

Michelle Yeoh dominated the action film industry long before Hollywood caught up to her standards. Competing against the likes of Jackie Chan, the Malaysian-Chinese actress made Hong Kong action cinema her home with classics like Yes, Madam (1985) and Police Story 3: Super Cop (1992). 5 years later, the entire world would come to know of her in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies as a no-nonsense agent skilled in martial arts who was anything but a Bond girl.

‘The Voice’ Pays Tribute To All Coaches From Its 25-Season History
Image
The Voice is celebrating 25 seasons on NBC with the Season 25 finale, and it is remembering all the coaches who spun their chairs throughout the years.

Finale night started with a throwback performance from Og coaches Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, CeeLo Green, and Blake Shelton. The quartet performed Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy,” which Green co-wrote, during the premiere episode of The Voice back in 2011.

After the performance, host Carson Daly read the names of the coaches who have appeared on The Voice over the past 25 seasons.

Blake Shelton has been the longest-running coach, spinning his chair for 23 seasons. Adam Levine was featured as a coach for the show’s first 16 seasons. Christina Aguilera was a permanent fixture in the first three seasons. She would then take a break and return for three more seasons, in Seasons 5, 8, and 10.

What Will Happen if Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine Doesn’t Hold Back? When Logan Used Captain America’s Shield to Mercilessly Kill Red Skull
Image
There are few stories that have come out of Marvel that are as influential as Old Man Logan. There is no doubt, that the company has some of superhero fiction’s greatest stories, but few have the caliber and the complexity of a piece like Old Man Logan, which follows an elderly Wolverine, who has given up the use of his claws after he was tricked into killing the X-Men and other mutants in Xavier’s Institute.

James Mangold directed Logan (2017) | Fox Studios

The comic book served as inspiration (in part) for 2017’s Logan, which saw Hugh Jackman essay the role of Fox’s version of Wolverine for the final time. The book has some of Logan’s most violent moments, one of which shows how far Logan can go even without using his claws. This particular instance had the older mutant face off against Red Skull, one who was...

Olivia Munn
Essential Viewing: 11 Olivia Munn Movies and TV Shows You Must See
Olivia Munn
We've covered quite a few actors and actresses here at TV Fanatic, and while some of them have fallen into the "familiar face in the background" roles, none have snuck up on audiences like Olivia Munn.

One of her first acting gigs was that of "Claw Hostess" in the Steve Carell and Tina Fey comedy Date Night.

Although her part was small, the actress was one of the most memorable experiences of that movie—besides Mark Wahlberg shirtless, that is.

Though she looks like a model, Munn's career has focused solely on the small and big screen and live and scripted appearances.

In many ways, she's like that actor you notice when you rewatch movies from years ago, making you go, "Wait, isn't that what's her name from that thing?"

It's an extremely common occurrence with actors who turn into big names later in their careers. Don't believe me?...
