Nobody better forget that Nobody is heading to Peacock next month. The 2021 action movie was written by Derek Kolstad and produced by David Leitch, two of the creatives behind the wildly successful John Wick franchise.
Beginning April 1, everybody with a Peacock subscription will be able to stream Nobody. Directed by Russian filmmaker Ilya Naishuller, Nobody starred Better Call Saul's Bob Odenkirk as Hutch Mansell, a seemingly ordinary family man with a huge secret. After his home gets invaded by burglars who steal his daughter's kitty cat bracelet, Hutch reveals that he was formerly a government-trained assassin. In pursuit of the thieves, he crosses paths with Russian drug lord Yulian Kuznetsov (Aleksei Serebryakov) leading him to join forces with his father, retired FBI agent David (Christopher Lloyd), and his brother Eddie (RZA) to defeat the Russian gang.

Plenty of shows and movies will also join the Hulu library; the Emmy-winning original series “The Handmaid’s Tale” returns after a three-year hiatus with its sixth and final season, and FX will premiere the limited series “Dying for Sex” starring Michelle Williams and Jenny Slate (based on the podcast from Molly Kochan and Nikki Boyer).

Channel 5 is joining The Forsytes.
The Paramount network has taken UK rights on PBS Masterpiece’s splashy adaptation of John Galsworthy’s The Forsyte Saga, which stars Doctor Who’s Millie Gibson and Francesca Annis as formidable matriarch Ann.
Penned by British screenwriter Debbie Horsfield (Poldark), the series chronicles the lives of four generations of an upper-class family of stockbrokers, set against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving late-Victorian world. True Blood star Stephen Moyer (Sexy Beast) also features alongside the likes of Jack Davenport (The Morning Show) and Gibson.
This is the third Forsyte Saga adaptation. A version aired in 1967 on the BBC and 35 years later on ITV. The new show is made by ITV Studios-backed Mammoth Screen and is a rare example of a British show being greenlit by an American network, with Channel 5 coming in at a later date. Bambi: The Reckoning ,From Disney Darling to Public Domain exploitation (And Why Your Childhood is Officially Cancelled)
So, Bambi, that wide-eyed fawn who taught us the harsh realities of forest life and the importance of not trusting men with guns, has officially kicked down the velvet ropes and stumbled into the chaotic mosh pit of the public domain. Yes, folks, as of January 2021, Bambi is free! Free to be… anything. And by “anything,” I mean apparently, a vengeful woodland terror.
Now, it took a few years for the creative minds of the “Poohverse” to realize the potential. Apparently, someone finally yelled, “Wait a minute! We can make Bambi a slasher flick!” And thus, a cinematic masterpiece was born.
Because, clearly, nothing says timeless childhood classic like turning your favorite animated characters into vengeful monsters. The Poohverse—a horror-themed cinematic experiment that began with Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey—set the stage for this twisted reimagining.

In the wake of two Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey films and Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, the “Poohniverse” will expand this year with Bambi: The Reckoning.
The official trailer for Bambi: The Reckoning has been unleashed by Variety this morning, and you can check it out below. According to the outlet, it’s releasing in Summer 2025.
Bambi: The Reckoning is described as “Cujo meets Jurassic Park,” and it looks to bring something different to the trend of public domain horror movies. While they’ve largely been masked slashers up to this point, we’re getting a full-on creature feature from this one, which feels more akin to something you would’ve gotten from Syfy back in the Sharktopus days.

Disney’s beloved little deer is all grown up — and has gone absolutely feral.
That’s the immediate takeaway from the first trailer of “Bambi: The Reckoning,” the latest assault on both the senses and yet more cherished children’s IP from the creators of micro-budget smash hit slasher “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey.”
In this very twisted take on the Bambi story, our deer — now not simply grief-stricken over the death of his mother but also mutated, effing enormous and sporting an array of sharp, terrifying teeth — embarks on a deadly rampage through the woods seeking revenge. He throws cars into the air with his giant antlers, charges into otherwise lovely-looking country houses and chases after holidaying families in caravans. There’s a decapitation, several maulings and plenty of blood. In short, this it to be kept as far away from children as humanly possible.

Today, Acorn TV released the first photos from the upcoming art world crime drama Art Detectives, starring and executive produced by Stephen Moyer.
Set to premiere on Monday, June 9 in the US and Canada, the six-episode series is centered around the Heritage Crime Unit, a police department consisting of art-loving Di Mick Palmer (Moyer) and straight-talking DC Shazia Malik.
Together, they solve murders connected to the world of art and antiques, from Old Master paintings to Banksy street art, medieval manuscripts and collectible vinyl.
Throughout the season, the artfully astute detectives encounter a fake Vermeer, Viking gold, a rare Chinese vase and items rescued from the Titanic. It’s a rich and colorful world driven by greed, obsession, lust and revenge.
Mick navigates these demanding cases while managing a budding romance with museum curator Rosa and the sudden reappearance of his charismatic father, Ron, who happens to be one of Britain’s most notorious forgers.

Since the Golden Age of Hollywood, gangsters have dominated the crime genre, with films like The Untouchables and Scarface exploring the lives of notorious mob bosses and drug kingpins. For some, these films represent the pinnacle of genres like thriller, crime, and drama, typically thanks to the great alignment of cast, writer, and director. Despite their violent nature, these films appeal to people of all stripes, often reinventing cinema altogether through their success.
Gangster movies vary in scale, with modern classics like Sexy Beast and A History of Violence making great use of relatively small casts. Other movies have reeled in audiences through their assembly of some of the biggest and most talented stars of their era, often turning in career-best performances. Through these movies, fans have been shown the inner workings of some of America's most dangerous criminal organizations -- even if they play fast and loose with the facts.

Exclusive: After recurring on HBO’s The Franchise, which spoofed Marvel-like superhero movies, Ruaridh Mollica is stepping into the MCU with a series regular role in the Marvel superhero series for Disney+ Vision, sources tell Deadline.
The Vision spinoff, headlined by Paul Bettany, is said to take place after the events in WandaVision where the character made a return after Thanos killed him in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War. The new series is believed to follow Vision (Bettany) as he tries to regain his memory and humanity.
Mollica will play a character named Tucker. In addition to Bettany, he joins previously cast James Spader, who reprises his MCU role of Ultron, Todd Stashwick, and Faran Tahir, who will reprise the role of Raza.
Vision is the second WandaVision spinoff, following the recent buzzy release Agatha All Along. Next on Marvel’s Disney+ slate is the March debut of Daredevil: Born Again.

"The Sopranos" showcased some incredible performances throughout its six-season run, which makes it even easier to forget some of the supporting talents that briefly passed in and out of episodes who went onto become massive stars. For a short time, David Chase's televised mob masterpiece had appearances from eventual "The Wire" star Michael K. Williams, Riddler-to-be Paul Dano, and even Lady Gaga (even though she might not be a fan of the performance herself). However, one appearance that might stand out more than others is that of actor, director, and co-architect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jon Favreau.
The director of "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2" plays an exaggerated version of himself after Christopher Moltisanti (Michael Imperioli) is invited to the filming of one of Favreau's movies. After chiming in on a scene rewrite, Favreau takes an interest in Christopher's lifestyle when he learns about his mob connections...

Season 3 is shaping up to introduce the highest-profile new cast, with three new series regulars who have led their own shows, David Lyons, Jennifer Morrison and Stephen Moyer.
They join fellow new series regulars Genesis Rodriguez (Lioness), whose pending casting was revealed last month, and child actor Callum Vinson (Chucky). Additionally, Suraj Sharma (How I Met Your Father) has been tapped as recurring.
Per usual, no details are being revealed about the characters. I hear Lyons will play a former spy lured out of retirement, Morrison will play the First Lady, Moyer will play a top hitman; and Rodriguez will play a reporter.

Since the Golden Age of film Noir, gangster movies have given audiences some of the best films of all time, from Francis Ford Coppola's Godfather films to Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas. While American Mafia stories often dominate the gangster sub-genre, some of the best stories have come from the United Kingdom, with director Guy Ritchie delivering some of the most acclaimed. As great as his movies are, Ritchie is far from the only British filmmaker to shed light on the nation's organized crime.
Although British gangster stories aren't always as glamorous as American crime sagas, they bring a unique grit and often times dark humor to the genre. Ranging from iconic films from the '60s and '70s to modern cult classics, the UK continues to release some of the best crime movies around, particularly owing to the nation's use of black comedy and famous stars. Timo Tjahjanto, the genre visionary helming the sequel to Bob Oderkirk's surprising action thriller hit, Nobody, reveals that fans should be prepared for a "different" film. Now that everyone knows who he is, what story is there to tell?

Nobody 2 finally has an official first look, several years after Bob Odenkirk beat up bad guys in the hit action film from 2021. After a former assassin turned family man, Hutch Mansell (Odenkirk) unleashed his unique skillset to protect his family last time around, the upcoming sequel will see him back in action and in the limelight. With a few new faces and an acclaimed director behind the camera, Nobody 2 already seems like a bigger and more ambitious endeavor.

In Nobody 2, Hutch will once again find himself battling bad guys after being forced out of retirement in the first film. A new still from the upcoming sequel Nobody 2 has been released. It provides the first official look at Bob Odenkirk returning to reprise his role from the original hit film.
First shared by Empire, the first look photo reveals Odenkirk's Hutch seemingly in the midst of a gun battle. With a firearm in one hand, Hutch has his face covered in blood, most likely coming from someone else. Just how high the body count is in the sequel remains to be seen, but it seems to be clear from the first image alone that things are going to get a bit messy in Nobody 2. Check out the photo below.

Bob Odenkirk returns as Hutch Mansell in a bloody first-look at Nobody 2. Odenkirk made his action hero debut in 2021's Nobody, which follows Hutch, a seemingly ordinary family man, as skills from his past as a government assassin resurface after a home invasion. The film was a hit, and Nobody 2 was confirmed, with Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes For Us) set to direct. The sequel brings several familiar faces back from the original movie, including Christopher Lloyd as David Mansell and Connie Nielsen as Becca Mansell, with Sharon Stone joining the cast as a villain.

Few would have pegged Bob Odenkirk as a burgeoning action behemoth before Nobody. But that film – in which Odenkirk’s seemingly ordinary suburban dad Hutch got back in touch with the inner assassin he’d long buried – proved that the man formerly known as Saul Goodman is very much a Somebody in the beat-‘em-up stakes. Now, he’s about to unleashed again in Nobody 2, with The Night Comes For Us director Timo Tjahjanto taking the reins. Make no mistake – it’s going to get messy.
While Nobody saw Hutch gradually unpack more and more layers of his ultra-violent past across the runtime, there’s no putting that back in the box in Nobody 2. “Now that he’s back at it in full throttle, how does his family react to this beast?” teases Tjahjanto of what Hutch is facing this time around. “You’ll see a lot of...

Anne Reid (The Sixth Commandment) will play Nancy, Holly and Yvonne’s mother, with Sue Johnston (The Royle Family) as Jess’s Aunt Mary. Peter Davison (Doctor Who), Claire Skinner (Outnumbered), and Angel Coulby (Merlin) also join the cast.
In Riot Women, we dive headfirst into the world of five women who, along with two riotous backing singers, come together to create a makeshift punk-rock band in order to enter a local talent contest, but in writing their first original song, soon discover that they have a lot to say – and this is their way to say it.

One of my favorite guys to interview is Dave Bautista. He admirably takes his craft seriously and continues to impress with each role he plays. The man is freaking talented, and he works at it. And he is one of the kindest guys to talk to. Sitting across from him and Sofia Boutella to discuss their new film The Killer’s Game was a delight. Sofia opened up about being a dancer, which is quite prevalent in the new movie. The two enjoyed each other’s company as their on-screen chemistry expertly translated into an in-person chat beautifully.
Dave Bautista is one of those guys who are genuinely entertaining to watch. In his latest, he portrays an assassin who discovers he has a terminal illness. The feature, directed by J.J. Perry, has fun blending drama, action, and comedy. And it also helps that Mr. Bautista’s co-star is Sofia Boutella. The two are undeniably terrific together.

Dave Bautista, whose latest action comedy The Killer’s Game comes to theaters this Friday, is ready to make hearts go pitter-pat by starring in a romantic comedy. In the past, Bautista questioned if he was “too unattractive” to become a silver-screen Lothario, asking Page Six in a 2023 interview, “Is there something that unappealing about me that excludes me from these parts?” Aww, Dave! Don’t listen to your Emo Teen Life Coach. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about! I know plenty of people who find your rugged good looks alluring, and then some.
Fast-forward to the Los Angeles premiere of The Killer’s Game, where Bautista told The Hollywood Reporter that his Page Six comments “sparked quite a conversation, but I started getting a lot of phone calls after that.”

James McAvoy has revealed that his uber-masculine villain character in the upcoming film, Speak No Evil, was partially inspired by Andrew Tate.
Speaking to Empire, McAvoy explained that the character, Paddy, is “all masculine and throwing his dick around,” which was modeled to be similar to Tate’s persona. “The thing I thought I could exploit in the character was, he thinks he’s a bit of a… West Country Andrew Tate,” McAvoy said, per Deadline.
Touching on the nuances of the role, he continued, “He’s like, ‘I’m going to teach you what it’s like to be a man again.’ But there’s a sort of polite face on it that isn’t quite Andrew Tate, enough of a sheen of, ‘I’m not one of those guys.’ Paddy’s challenging you, ‘Do you have a big enough dick to have a drink with me?’ Or, ‘I’m sorry,...

For his upcoming role in the Universal remake of the 2022 Danish thriller “Speak No Evil,” James McAvoy knew he needed to capture a very specific, toxically masculine energy. To create his ruthless patriarchal figure Paddy, McAvoy drew upon perhaps one of the most toxically masculine characters in the world today, social media personality and current criminal defendant Andrew Tate.
“The thing I thought I could exploit in the character was, he thinks he’s a bit of a f— West Country Andrew Tate,” McAvoy said in a recent interview with Empire.
He added later of his character, “He’s like, ‘I’m going to teach you what it’s like to be a man again.’ But there’s a sort of polite face on it that isn’t quite Andrew Tate, enough of a sheen of, ‘I’m not one of those guys.’ [Paddy’s] challenging you, ‘Do you have a big...

James McAvoy is no stranger to the psychological thriller genre. The actor surprised fans with his skills playing multiple characters in M. Night Shyamalan’s Split and then reprised his role as the Did-diagnosed Kevin in the sequel, Glass. The actor will be seen in the upcoming thriller Speak No Evil, where he plays a murdering doctor.
McAvoy reportedly based his character, Paddy, off of controversial Internet personality Andrew Tate. The X-Men star mentioned that Paddy had touches of toxic masculinity in him and much of his interactions were based on that ideology. However, he did mention that he was more polite than Tate.

The Birmingham setting of Peaky Blinders broke the London-centric mold of British gangster genres in TV and film. The show's focus on Birmingham culture and history gives it a unique and authentic touch. Peaky Blinders showcases that London isn't the only British city with a dark underworld of gangsters.
Until Peaky Blinders came along with its Birmingham-based gangland action, most British gangster films and TV shows were set in and around London. Peaky Blinders revolves around the criminal activities of the titular gang in the immediate aftermath of World War I. The gang was loosely based on a real urban youth gang of the same name, who were active in the city of Birmingham from the 1880s to the 1910s. The series deviates from the real-life history, but one element remains consistent: their hometown.

Director Sean Baker‘s “Anora” won the grand prize, the Palme d’Or, at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. It was the first American film to claim top honors at the prestigious international competition since “The Tree of Life” in 2011. Does that mean it’s in good shape going into Oscar season? Despite its world renown, Cannes is hit-and-miss when it comes to anointing later awards contenders, often selecting art films that don’t end up resonating with the industry insiders in the academy. But in recent years the Oscars have been on the same page as the Cannes jury more often.

There will always be an interest and allure in banned media, which, for many, raises questions like "Why do they not want me to see this?" This often comes with boundary-pushing cinema that challenges social norms and political powers or goes to such extremes that those in charge of distribution deem it inappropriate to share with the masses.
Are all banned films great? Looking through the video nasties catalog, some of the films only became notorious because they made the infamous list of banned media. Yet, at the same time, others like Salo: The 120 Days of Sodom or Ken Russel's The Devils have garnered such acclaim that they have transcended their initial ban.

From Olivia Colman’s fraught sojourn to the Greek Isles in The Lost Daughter to Jessie Buckley’s terrifying trip up the M5 to the English countryside in Men and M. Night’s bummer beaches in Old, taking a little “me time” away from home is often the single biggest mistake any movie character could possibly make. Horror, psychological drama, comedy, mystery, rom-com. The genre hardly matters. In film, the simple act of taking a vacation is rarely the relaxing, restorative interlude one hopes that it might be, placing uneasy personalities in uncertain—even harrowing—circumstances.
So with another holiday weekend upon us and the summer theoretically in full swing, it’s time to make peace with travel advisories being a moving target and hot spots foreign and domestic getting hotter by the minute. No surprise then, that many of us now eye these “escapes” with more than a little bit of skepticism.

Many iconic actors have played Bond villains, but there are still plenty of talented stars yet to have their moment in the franchise. The future of the James Bond franchise remains uncertain, with casting for Bond 26 unclear, but the need for iconic villains is crucial. June 4, 2024 – Academy Award winner Sir Ben Kingsley, beloved James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan and Star Wars universe luminary Mark Hamill form the ultimate vocal rogues’ gallery in Mofac Animation’s upcoming The King of Kings, an animated family film inspired by a little-known short story by Charles Dickens depicting the life and times of Jesus Christ.
Kingsley voices High Priest Caiaphas, who presided over the Sanhedrin trial of Jesus. After waging war with House Atreides in Dune: Part Two, Dave Bautista trades his Harkonnen armor for something more discrete as he slips into the role of a hitman on borrowed time in The Killer’s Game trailer. Lionsgate shared the first trailer, poster, and images for the upcoming action comedy from director J.J. Perry. The promo features the former wrestler-turned-Hollywood superstar as an assassin with a dry wit fighting for his life after receiving a false diagnosis from his doctor. TV takes on familiar IP isn’t new these days, although the quality of those series runs the gamut. For every show like Prime Video‘s “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and “Dead Ringers,” there are others, like Paramount+‘s “Sexy Beast,” that are utterly forgettable. A “300” TV series adaptation is in early development at Warner Bros. Television, Variety has learned from sources.
Exact plot details are still being worked out, but sources say that the show would serve as a prequel to the 2006 film. No writer or platform is currently attached to the project.
Deals are still being negotiated, but Zack Snyder, who directed and co-wrote “300,” is in talks to direct and executive produce the series. Deborah Snyder, who executive produced “300,” would also return as an executive producer under her and Zack’s Stone Quarry production banner, with Stone Quarry’s Wesley Coller also on board. Gianni Nunnari, Mark Canton, and Bernie Goldmann — all of whom were producers on the film — are likewise in talks to return.
Reps for Wbtv declined to comment.
