Around 60 minutes into the film, William H. Macy's character needles his girlfriend with fish. This scene seems to be a reference to the famous lobster scene in Woody Allen's "Annie Hall."
Felicity Huffman and Julia Campbell both appeared in "Desperate Housewives," albeit Huffman in a lead role and Campbell as a guest star.
