Trivia

Pygmalion

Edit
The original Broadway production of "Pygmalion" opened at the Park Theater opening October 12, 1914 and ran for seventy-two performances. The play premiered in a German translation at the Hofburg Theatre in Vienna on October 16, 1913 and in English at His Majesty's Theatre in London on April 11, 1914. The British production starred "Mrs. Patrick Campbell" and Herbert Beerbohm Tree.
Peter O'Toole played Henry Higgins again in a 1987 Broadway production of "Pygmalion", but with a different cast. Amanda Plummer played Eliza in the 1987 revival.
This was filmed in Dublin, Ireland over a three week period on videotape for U.S. television.
The credits, which seem to understate the importance of Margot Kidder, are listed in the order of appearance of the performers.
Rex Harrison won the Academy Award as Best Actor in a Leading Role for "My Fair Lady" (1964), the same year Peter O'Toole was nominated for "Becket".
