U.S. Seals (2000)

Goofs

U.S. Seals

Edit

Continuity

On the approach to the oil rig their helicopter changes between three different models
When the seals are driving a tank into a market they hit a white car, wrecking the back of it. Later in the chase, the same car with the exact same damage to it is park in the middle of the city, and is wrecked by the tank again.

Factual errors

There are no sergeants in the U.S. Navy. non-commissioned officers are referred to as "Petty Officers".
One of the seals is shown taking out a small reinforced concrete pillbox bunker with a grenade. Despite the fact that the grenade lands on top, not in the bunker, and would have caused no damage to the men inside the bunker.
Soldiers are seen firing rocket propelled grenades using a shoulder launcher. But at no time is an RPG even loaded into the launcher. You only see a flash from the empty launcher and an explosion down range.

Revealing mistakes

At the mission briefing before the seals go to the oil-rig, an officer shows images of the oil-rig on a monitor, and says they are shot through the periscope of a submarine. However the shots are from a downwards angle, making the periscope a mile high.
