C'est Nous Les Gars de la Marine!

Another film which belongs to the coarse comedy genre !At the time, there were plenty of French films dealing with the joys in the barracks or on the ships in the Navy.Fernandel played parts of rookies in so many films it's a wonder he could survive and make a brilliant career. He was probably saved by Pagnol.

"Les bleus de la Marine" (= Raw recruits in the navy)is a pleasant comedy and Fernandel alone makes the movie worthwhile .Lafraise and his mate unintentionally desert and he is mistaken for a "government representative" who is to attend a ceremony : the unveiling of a statue .The mayor of the town's wife is Lafraise's lieutenant's lover. It causes lots of mistaken identities .

Fernandel sings three or four songs.
