DIY Low-Budget TV - A Hilarious Parody of Pop Culture !

Adam Buxton + Joe Cornish write, film, act in, edit and host their own home-made TV show which parodies contemporary popular culture. Star wars figures act out famous TV shows, soft toys act out films, Adam + Joe go undercover to reveal the truth about consumer culture, and Adam's father reviews the latest pop music (with little optimism !). Not to forget the Vinyl Police Squad 'arresting' famous musicians for owning appalling 'criminal records' .

I used to watch this every week; my favourite show as a 15-year-old ! Extremely unpretentious, just juvenile but witty entertainment on a Friday evening when the lads/ladettes were all out getting rat-arsed and us 'grunge-weirdos' preferred the idyllic pursuit of staying at home + watching some good quality TV !

    A cult classic.

When Adam & Joe splammed onto our screen in 1996 we were not dazzled by special effects and funny catch-phrases and sit-coms for buffoons. We saw the lighter, cheaper side of television. Adam & Joe made television history when they both took all their clothes off and hung upside down for an entire hour. Sure the guys were tired and dizzy after the show but as the Adam and Joe show's director (Quentin (Jugs) Tarantino) commented: "Get out of my way..."

After that moment the show's ratings rocketed into the sky and then ended abruptly as the show stopped.

It was on the front page of all the newspapers...headlines like "WHY?"....

And the controversial article written by Harold Fuuq used powerful imagery which made many cry "Who?... very angry... only if a monkey... not payed enough..."

Thousands took to the streets when The Adam & Joe Show ended on Friday the 28th of March. To mark the occasion a group of angry A&J fans set alight a Zoo in London killing a rare tropical verucca.

But the word on the street (This was actually written on a pavement in Brixton) is that Adam and Joe are returning to our TV screens to lead the revolution and to conquer the world........................

The reality is that Adam and Joe are sad and alone in their room and they want some company.

Why haven't more people seen this?

Possibly the greatest home-made comedy show ever. Baaaad Dad kicks ass, the Toy Movies RULE, and the song at the end is always cool. More people NEED to see this.

    CLASS CLASS CLASS

Comedy doesnt need a budget Often Budgets Kill the comedy Adam and Joe kill me with laughter What happened to their homemade show? That Louise guy playing the star trek song on his casio and the jazz queens... and the getting p***ed in a brewery and the eating the percentage free bits in a cornershop... it was all so so so good. Spot on lads. Hope you read this.... and if you every do a new series.... take the mick out of devonians more, like you did with those hooded characters. Or were they meant to be Bristolians?

Adam and Joe are two of the funniest people alive!

It's true, they are. Their blend of satire and anarchy make it one of the best shows that Channel 4 has ever made.

The Toy TV moves are great (a drunken Obi-Wan Kenobi asking for money) and should be released on their own.

`BaaadDad' is excellent, and never fails to make me laugh out loud.

The only problem with this show is its time slot: midnight just does not work for it. It should be put on earlier.
