The animation of Uncle Fyodor's parents in 1978 is very similar to that of the parents of the Kid in 1968 from the animated film Malysh i Karlson (1968) (that, however, isn't surprising as both movies had same art directors, and virtually the same group of animators).
In the period from 2018 to 2020, the release of 30 new animation series is scheduled, which will show how Prostokvashino and its characters have changed over the past 20 years.
"Three of Prostokvashino" is the first film of the trilogy about a city boy nicknamed Uncle Fyodor, a homeless cat Matroskin, dog Sharik and others, who for various reasons began to live in the village of Prostokvashino.
In a survey conducted on February 8-9, 2014 among the inhabitants of Russia, the Public Opinion Foundation, the trilogy "Three from Prostokvashino" shared the third place with the animated film "Shrek".
