If there were ever any doubts that this esteemed staff of individuals couldn’t rise to all occasions, we get our first glimpse of just how far that extends during The Pitt Season 1 Episode 12.
Somehow, it felt like time stopped and then went into overdrive as they braced for the mass casualties that would come in from the shooting, and there was an odd stillness as everyone wrapped their heads around all hell breaking loose.
The longest shift in mankind’s history got infinitely worse, and before you could blink your eyes, the hospital exploded in chaos.
(John Johnson/Max)
What’s exciting about this particular hour of The Pitt is how foes become allies on the turn of a dime when there’s a bigger cause at play.
Someone who irritates your entire soul at the beginning of the shift is suddenly your comrade in battle by the end of it.

Ellen Pompeo Reflects on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Tabloid Backlash, Reveals Her Most Uncomfortable Sex Scene
Ellen Pompeo is looking back on how her onscreen love story with Patrick Dempsey on Grey’s Anatomy impacted her personal life and the sex scene she describes as “uncomfortable and awkward.”
While appearing on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast on Wednesday, Pompeo reflected on the epic love story her character Meredith Grey had with Dempsey’s Derek Shepherd and how that impacted her husband, music producer Chris Ivery, at the time.
“I mean, Chris really never watched the show that helped. It was better for him. He knew just not to watch. I was with him before Grey’s, so Grey’s kinda came out of nowhere for us. And I just think we were on this crazy ride that we were just trying to hang on for dear life,” the actress explained. She went on to recall backlash they began receiving from the tabloids, in particular...

Ellen Pompeo wasn't always paid $20 million a season to play Meredith Grey in the hit ABC drama series Grey's Anatomy. The actor recently opened up about being paid less than her co-star Patrick Dempsey during the show's early seasons despite playing the lead character.
In an extensive interview with the Call Her Daddy podcast (via Variety), Pompeo addressed the pay disparity on Grey's Anatomy and explained why she should have received the same salary as Dempsey. "To be completely fair, the television game was so different then. He had done 13 pilots before me," she said. "Nothing personal to him, just in general, only a man can have 13 failed TV pilots and their quote keeps going up, right? But in all fairness, his quote was what it was. He was a bigger star than I was at that point. No one knew who I was. Everybody knew who he was, so he did deserve that money.

Grey’s Anatomy showrunner Meg Marinis has discussed the success of rival show The Pitt, and given her views on the competition between the hit medical dramas. Grey’s Anatomy season 21 is currently airing, but ABC’s ratings behemoth shows little sign of slowing down any time soon. Conversely, The Pitt has just concluded its debut season on Max, and has enjoyed critical acclaim, as well as a season 2 renewal, and comparisons can be drawn between the two shows, particularly the dramatic storytelling, and smorgasbord of interesting characters.
In an interview with the LA Times, Marinis discusses her plans for the future of Grey's Anatomy, as well as talking about the success of The Pitt, and whether there is a rivalry between the shows. She reveals that it's natural to wonder about some of the storylines The Pitt is exploring, and how they compare with Grey's Anatomy, before stating she has not...

Whether you were an Og Suits fan who tuned into the series during its entire run on USA Network or you caught up with the series via Netflix bingeing, we’ve all come to appreciate what this series has to offer.

Medical dramasare a pivotal part of primetime TV schedules because they are an easy outlet for drama and tension. Audiences enjoy watching the patients on the knife's edge of life and death, while a team of talented professionals work to save them. Because these shows have already mastered the arena of dramatic tension, the writers also have more time to focus on building interesting relationships and character dynamics.
While fans expect to suspend their disbelief a bit when indulging in these shows, a lot of medical dramas tend to make the same mistakes over and over again. Not only do they offer an inaccurate depiction of medicine, but they also make the entire situation seem incredibly unrealistic. Thus, as these shows continue to adhere to these issues, fans are starting to pick up on them.

The Way Home closed its third season with a beautifully poignant finale, bringing Colton Landry back into the fold and shedding light on his knowledge of the pond.
But as revelatory as that was, it highlighted a lingering problem: Del Landry remains a mystery.
She’s the matriarch of the Landry family, the steady anchor in a storm of time travel and secrets, yet we know shockingly little about her beyond what others see. With each season peeling back layers of the Landry family’s past, why is Del’s perspective still being kept at arm’s length?

No matter how much The Way Home explores its characters, Del remains one of the most frustrating. She presents a warm, Southern charm, yet she often feels emotionally closed off.

When Grey's Anatomy first introduced fans to Meredith Grey back in 2005, she was a fresh-faced intern ready to make her own mark on her mother's legacy. Fast-forward 20 years, and she's a Harper Avery winner as well as a prized surgeon. But Grey isn't the only main character on the show. Since the first season, this hit medical drama has welcomed a plethora of characters, all of whom are eager to make a difference to Grey Sloan.

Grey's Anatomy is well recognized for its vast selection of beloved characters, all of whom add a unique touch of flair to this long-running procedural. Not only do these characters help to drum up a ton of dramatic tension, but they help to show the friendships that could only be built in a place like Grey Sloan. So even when everything seems as though it's falling apart, these doctors still manage to work together.
One of the show's most memorable characters is Meredith's half-sister, Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh). Complete with a headstrong attitude and a loving personality, Lexie added a touch of humor and selflessness to this hard-hitting drama. It's hardly a surprise that even 13 years later, some fans are still mourning her loss.

As Grey's Anatomy takes a break until 2025, there's a chance we'll be bidding goodbye to some characters!
Grey's Anatomy fans know the one constant of the show is change. Characters come and go a lot, with Meredith herself still popping in despite Ellen Pompeo talking of leaving the show. Some exits can be sudden and shocking, while others get a bigger push.

There's no denying that Grey's Anatomy is teeming with drama. But that doesn't mean that the characters don't know how to have fun every once in a while. Whether it's a faux pas in the Or or an embarrassing sexual escapade, these surgeons also help to bring a touch of laughter and light to Grey Sloan.
But, when Grey's Anatomy experiments with humor, it manages to do so tastefully. While some jokes are a little on the nose, it gets its funniness from character interactions. So, even after a tough day of saving lives, the cast still knows how to make each other, and the audience chuckle.

The lights have once more gone off at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital before Grey’s Anatomy season 22 returns to screens in 2025, and sooner or later they’ll never turn back on. Even with the sort of soft reboot a couple of years ago that brought in a new crop of interns, it can’t be long before Grey's Anatomy gets its usual blood lust and starts getting rid of characters for ratings.
That’s perhaps a cynical read, and I don’t mean it entirely, but I’m hurt at something that happened in Grey’s Anatomy season 21’s ending. No, not the cliffhanger, or the tragic suggestion of Jo’s miscarriage, or even the fact that Meredith seemed even more absent than usual. It’s all down to another one of those character exits the show likes so much.

Grey's Anatomy has a track record of placing two unlikely characters together in romantic relationships. Meredith Grey and Derek Sheperd's twisty love story kept viewers invested season after season. Meanwhile, Christina is writing her own version of a hospital love story. Izzie seems to be at the center of the drama, while George's crush on Meredith results in several unfortunate incidents.
Even early in the show, some romance arcs are weaker than others. As the show goes on, it also has a tendency to place random characters into strange romantic relationships. Grey's Anatomy has made some interesting choices when it comes to on-screen couples.
There's Very Little to Know About Richard Webber and Ellis Grey
Despite being at the center of the story in Grey's Anatomy, Richard Webber's affair with Ellis Grey is one shrouded in mystery. The series never fully explains their relationship and only shows fans their fights and conflicts.

Grey’s Anatomy is one of the most beloved and longest-running TV shows created by Shonda Rhimes. The show’s 20th season recently dropped, and it’s hard not to appreciate the elements that endured throughout the show’s nearly two-decade run. In 2005, Grey’s Anatomy aired as a medical drama that could compete with other shows like ER, which Grey's has long since outlasted.
The show quickly shot into the spotlight and became a fan favorite because of its masterful blend of medicine and human experience. While Grey's highlights surgery and medical research, much of the focus belongs to the characters. As such, there's a never-ending stream of romances for fans to love. But one of them existed at the beginning.

Although Rick and Morty has changed a lot since the show’s earliest episodes back in 2013, that doesn’t mean that the series has dropped every frustrating trend from this era. Rick and Morty season 8 is hotly anticipated and viewers of the cult hit sci-fi comedy have every reason to believe the show will only improve in its eighth outing. After killing off Rick’s nemesis Rick Prime midway through season 7 in its most shocking twist yet, the series outdid itself with its finale. Justine Triet, who is best-known for Oscar and Palme d’Or-winning courtroom drama “Anatomy of a Fall,” says she could have become a lawyer, if she had not veered into filmmaking to dissect reality using a somewhat forensic approach.
In a wide-ranging conversation held Saturday by Triet at the Marrakech Film Festival with “Anatomy of a Fall” producer and close friend Marie-Ange Luciani, the revered French auteur noted that she comes from the documentaries milieu and uses fiction to “reach a catharsis about something I want to confront.”
With “Anatomy” – which at its core is about a warring husband and wife – the film’s inception had to do with the complexities of female empowerment, even though, “It would be horrible to start writing a film by saying I want to make a film about Metoo,” she pointed out. “But of course that’s something that was around me,” she added.

Fans had no idea about the impact the terminology "McDreamy" had on television viewers in the 2000s and the chemistry was off the charts when Meredith Grey and Derek Shepherd first made contact. Despite having a turbulent relationship, "MerDer," as the fandom likes to call it, went down in Grey's Anatomy's history as the most iconic couple of all time. Looking at the two, it's almost impossible to imagine that both Meredith and Derek would have been with other people, but what's a Grey's Anatomy romance without a juicy drama?
Although their love story suffered an unfathomable tragedy, Derek and Meredith's relationship is considered a hallmark of romance. However, when it comes to relationships, Meredith's list may be longer than Derek's, but the hot neurosurgeon also had his fair share of flings while navigating his relationship with the beautiful intern.
