One of the more well done Atari 2600 games this one was a very good time consumer for me. For an Atari game there was a very vast and well done landscape to explore. The person looked like a person, the scorpions looked like scorpions, snakes snakes and campfires...well campfires. The objective of the game was fairly simple, within forty minutes you can choose to go left or right and you run and collect treasures. Simple enough, of course there were many pitfalls as it were to overcome. There were pits of alligators to swing over, mysterious appearing and disappearing holes in the ground, stationary snakes and the dreaded alligator pits with no rope to swing over meaning you had to cross it by walking over the alligators' heads. Are were they crocodiles? The treasures to collect include silver bars, gold bars and diamond rings. Maybe bags of money? Not sure, I think there was something else other than the initial three I mentioned, but I am sure of those three. The main problem I have with the game is that the underground section laced with scorpions and the strange brick wall was pointless to traverse. No treasure, lead to a dead end, but it did have one of the few moving enemies...the scorpion. All the other enemies were stationary with the exception of the inanimate rolling logs. There was also nothing to do in this game other than run left or right and see how much treasure you could get before the time reached zero or you ran out of lives...usually the latter. Still, it was fun to play and would span a sequel that was actually one of the best Atari games ever.
