Correcting Misinformation This is NOT the 1984 version.

There seems to be some misinformation on this site. This is NOT the 1984 Vs.Excitebike released in arcades. THIS is the 1985 NES version of the game, which only had 5 tracks, played a little faster and just was NOT the same. It was cool in 1985 to be able to play without dropping quarters in a machine. But this is NOT THE ORIGINAL 1984 Vs. Excitebike.

The Original had 7 tracks and featured the "Excite Bike", which you could get for knocking down other riders during a race. The Excite Bike would turn your overheat bar white and allow you to use the turbo button without overheating. It was a far superior game to the NES clone and steps should be taken to correct this site.

it even says under the "Excitebike (1984) header that this is the NES game released in 1985. PLEASE CORRECT THIS SITE IMDB!!!

Simple Fun

Excitebike is one of those games you can't help but love because it is simple but effect in terms of fun.

But of course it was release on the Nintendo Entertainment System so you should expect nothing less from the NES.

Nintendo has been known for years to make games that are like fine wine only get better with age

What makes the game such a hit is that fact that you can take a sports game and make it have a lasting appeal like Donkey Kong or Super Mario Bros.

The game of course does present it problems mostly with speed control you have to be very careful when you're jumping over ramps or you will crash and lose time as you rush back to your bike.

But for the 8 Bit game it features colorful graphics and the sound is what you can expect from the era of 8 bit.

The controls are simple and easy to pick up and play so gamers should not have any problems when they pick up this classic game.

Overall if you want to play fun classic game then get Excitebike while it does have some challenges it is worth your while for the fact it is just plain fun.

I give Excitebike an 8 out of 10

The main thing is not to fall

"Excitebike" was released as early as 1984 by Nintendo for the Famicom console (Dendy), is one of the most memorable and innovative games of its time (well, I read about it once). The game pleases with its unique concept, dynamic gameplay and simplicity, which made it a true classic.

From the first minutes, "Excitebike" attracts with its fascinating and dynamic gameplay. The player is invited to drive a motorcyclist, overcoming various obstacles and trying to reach the finish line as quickly as possible. The race is filled with jumps, trampolines and other elements of the track that require the player to accurately calculate and react quickly. Motorcycle control is intuitive, but at the same time you always need to react quickly and control the bike accurately, otherwise you will end up in a ditch.

One of the most striking features of Excitebike is the ability to create your own trails. This mode allows you to show your creativity and create unique and complex routes, which significantly increased the time spent in the toy. However, I realized for myself that it takes too long to create levels, it's better to play on existing ones, despite the fact that there are a lot of interesting things there.

The graphics, although simple by modern standards, were bright and memorable for their time. Detailed sprites of motorcyclists and various elements of the tracks created the atmosphere of real motorcycle racing. Clear and bright colors made the game attractive and easily distinguishable even on small TV screens of that time. Oh, poor Spectrum 54. I've seen your kinescope.

The "Excitebike" soundtrack perfectly complements the gameplay. The sounds of a purring engine, jumps and falls set the tone for the game, and simple but catchy musical themes add energy and drive to the game.

The game also impresses with its simplicity and accessibility. It is easy to master, but the game offers enough challenges for experienced players. Each race becomes unique due to the many possible combinations of jumps and obstacles, which makes the game interesting even after many passes.

"Excitebike" is now a classic. A classic that still evokes nostalgia. An innovative approach to racing and the ability to create your own tracks have made it one of the most memorable games on the Dendy platform. Despite the simplicity of the graphics and sound, it remains incredibly fascinating and deserves the attention of all fans of retro games.

8 out of 10.

This game is just plain FUN!!!

Like I said, this game is just plain fun! You ride your bike around on different side scrolling tracks jumping ramps and stuff. This is a very simple game but unarguably one of the best of all time! If you've never played this game I suggest you go buy it!

An Honest Review

It's really a two player game. Running through the circuit yourself gets old FAST, however making the most insane heats you can think of and then watching your friends try to play it, that is where the entertainment really is.

It's not really endless fun, it's just, well, it's two player fun.
