After defeating Dracula and watching the castle crumble, the credits roll. Instead of traditional credits, the names are slight alterations of fames horror celebrities including: Terence Fisher (displayed as: Trans Fishers) Bram Stoker (Vran Stoker) Christoper Lee (Christopher Bee) Bela Lugosi (Belo Lugosi) Boris Karloff (Boris Karloffice) Lon Chaney (Love Chaney) Lon Chaney Jr (Love Chaney, Jr.) Barbara Shelley (Barber Sherry) Max Schreck (Max Schrecks) Glenn Strange (Green Stranger) Andre Morell (Andre Moral) John Carradine (John Candy)
One of very few third-party games that was reissued as a Classic NES Series title for the Game Boy Advance.
"Akumajô Dracula" means "Demon Castle Dracula".
The sound effect of Holy Water exploding was reused in Castlevania II and III. This sound was also used in the Nintendo television series, Captain N The Game Master, in a sequence in the Quest For The Potion Of Power episode when Moblins were killed.
Frankenstein's Monster is modeled after Univeral Studios' version.
