The worst metal hero show I've ever seen hands down (and I've seen most of them)

Yup, this is the absolute worst the IP ever had to offer in my book. The main problem of this being that due to the children not liking the first more police based part (the best one, reminescent of a popcorn action movie like Men in Black in a good way), from episode 22 on this show completely derailed itself by transforming into an unconvincing mash-up of other metal heroes shows - particularly of the Space Sheriffs and the Rescue Police Squad sagas, two things that only share the IP and nothing else - while still trying to hamfistedly retain some elements of the police part. Also, bad Ultraman ripoffs (Gold Platinum) appeared for no discernible reason other than the people at the helm of the show again had no idea what they wanted to do with it, completely destroying any remotely reason for this to be categorized under the Metal Heroes franchise. I personally have no problems with a tokusatsu show diverging from the original premises (Exceedraft for example comes to mind) but not from well before the first half even ended and not in this way, with the result being a jack-of-all trades and master of none kind of thing (it even fails at drama the few time it tries to pull it off). If I were in you I wouldn't bother, even if you're a metal heroes fan I would personally avoid it. Recommended only to those crapping with no reason to do it on the undisputed excellence of Sharivan and Shaider to see what the worst of the franchise really is about (franchise that I guess Toei tried to start with this series, since the Space Sheriffs and The Rescue Squad quadrology were considered as separated entitis before this series was made), and no one else. For all the other people, listen to the catchy Blue Swat OST (the best thing this series had to offer hands down) and it should suffice.

    P. S. I'm reading in this moment the main writer of this series was the guy being the two B-Fighter series, Winspector and Exceedraft, which is incredible. I guess he wasn't particularly invested in the project when he penned Blue Swat and he simply regurgitated in the most mechanical and uninteresting way possible stuff he previously made with the hope that something would have landed in the audience, otherwise such a drastic difference in the quality of the output makes no sense whatsoever.
