One of Halit Refig's best works... Despite being adapted from Orhan Kemal's novel of the same name, one of the most important achievements of the film, which tells the same story in a very different way, is that it brought Cüneyt Arkin to Turkish cinema and became the first Golden Orange winner.

The Mubi copy of the movie is a longer version than the copy available on Youtube.

Tanju Gürsu has shown an incredible acting as always.
