While chatting with his Deadpool & Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman, the actor took a playful jab at a very familiar face who’s been spending time with his kids. Let’s just say, the “babysitting” bill might come with a few too many zeros.

Sarah Snook Goes Fantastically Wilde In ‘The Picture Of Dorian Gray’ – Broadway Review
Image
The Picture of Dorian Gray

Opening night: March 27, 2025

Venue: Broadway’s Music Box Theatre

Written by: Oscar Wilde

Adapted and Directed by: Kip Williams

Performer: Sarah Snook

Camera Operators: clew, Luka Kain, Natalie Rich, Benjamin Sheen, Dara Woo

Running time: 2 hrs (no intermission)

Deadline’s takeaway: If only Oscar Wilde were alive to offer up a pithy description of Broadway’s playful The Picture of Dorian Gray starring the remarkable Succession actor Sarah Snook, because this is a production that most of us will need more than a few words to convey all of its exuberant theatrical dazzle.

Equal parts acting masterclass, tech wizardry, illusion and clockwork stage management, all costumed and set designed with the wit and color schemes of the most vivid Cindy Sherman photographs, Dorian Gray marks audacious Broadway debuts by both Snook and director-adaptor Kip Williams.

So what if the use of video cameras on stage is already bordering on cliché,...

Taylor Swift Did Not Sing on Lady Gaga's New Album, Despite Rumors About 'How Bad Do U Want Me' Song
Image
There’s a rumor going around that Taylor Swift is featured on Lady Gaga‘s new album, but an insider says that’s not true.

Some fans have pointing out similarities between Gaga‘s new song “How Bad Do U Want Me” and Taylor‘s reputation era song “Gorgeous.”

The background vocalist who sings the words “how bad do you want me” in the song even sounds very similar to Taylor, with fans wondering if she made a secret guest spot on the Mayhem album.

Well, she didn’t.

Keep reading to find out more…

A source confirmed to Rolling Stone that Taylor is not featured on the song and Gaga actually was interpolating Yazoo‘s 1982 song “Only You.”

This isn’t the first time in recent memory that fans incorrectly thought Taylor was making a secret appearance on a major artist’s album. They also thought that she was...

No, That’s Not Taylor Swift on Lady Gaga’s ‘Mayhem’
Image
The rumors aren’t terrible, and they also aren’t true. Fans online are convinced that none other than Taylor Swift makes an appearance on Lady Gaga’s highly anticipated sixth album Mayhem. Specifically, they seem to believe Swift lent vocals on track nine, “How Bad Do U Want Me?” However, a source confirms to Rolling Stone that no, that is not Swift on the song.

Upon first listen, the outlandish theory that the two pop Goliaths teamed up sounds almost plausible. The song starts with tantalizing synths that recall...

Lady Gaga’s ‘Mayhem’ Is More Than Just a Return to Her Pop Roots
Image
In the lead-up to Lady Gaga’s latest album, Mayhem, there’s been a lot of talk about Gaga returning to her roots. It’s been five years since her last pop release, the Nineties-house-inspired, cyberpunk concept album Chromatica. Chalk it up to timing (it was released at the dawn of the pandemic), but the album didn’t inspire the type of fervor it deserved upon its release. Since then, she’s been back to focusing on movies and jazz, even combining those other two modes for Harlequin, a companion...

10 Anime Fans Only Like Because They Watched Them As a Kid
Image
Anime fans have a tendency to see the series they grew up with through rose-colored glasses. Their childhood nostalgia blinds them to any potential flaws these anime might have had. While they likely weren't all bad by any means, some anime simply weren't nearly as good as fans remember them to be.

These anime series may have been childhood favorites, but they don’t hold up nearly as well on a rewatch—especially for fans who have grown since they first aired. While they were once a huge part of many childhoods, their flaws are too glaring to ignore now. At least the nostalgia remains, even if the anime series themselves don’t stand the test of time.

Cat Cohen Is Hunting For a Hollywood Mentor: “I Need an Older Woman Who Has Seen Things”
Image
Cat Cohen’s new special Come For Me features a blend of comedy and cabaret on topics both broad (using your astrological signs to excuse your personality flaws) and hyperpersonal (what happened when she and her boyfriend made a sex tape). During one segment that hits both notes, she discusses the specific way she is mean to herself in her head. “I got a comment recently. It was just a nice photo, and someone commented underneath ’30 pounds overweight,'” she says. “I was like, did I write this? Did I take an Ambien and tweet at myself the way I talk to myself all fucking day?”

Since Cohen taped the special, which debuts on the Veeps platform on Oct. 17, she has appeared in four episodes of the newest season of Only Murders in the Building (as one half of the directorial team The Brothers Sisters). She’ll also release her debut album Overdressed on Nov.

Katy Perry ‘143’ Review: A Mostly Joyless, By-the-Numbers Comeback
Image
Katy Perry seemed poised for a comeback. The singer’s early output has undergone a favorable critical reevaluation of late, and her Video Vanguard performance at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards was a reminder that, just a decade ago, she was capable of churning out a seemingly endless stream of radio hits. Perry’s style of maximalist pop, no longer in vogue by the late 2010s, has been experiencing a revival, as evidenced by the breakout success of artists like Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan.

But such hopes were quickly dashed when Perry dropped “Woman’s World,” a platitude-filled exercise in feminist sloganeering that found her reuniting with longtime collaborator Dr. Luke (she temporarily ceased working with the producer until after his legal dispute with fellow pop singer Kesha was resolved). It didn’t help that TikTokers noticed similarities between Perry’s declarations of “sexy, confident, so intelligent” and...

Taylor Swift is one of the rumored cameos in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine. However, this isn't the first time the franchise referenced the superstar and Ryan Reynolds detailed Swift's first stint in the superhero world.

Joe Alwyn and Taylor Swift Are Rumored to Have Met at This Big Event 6 Years Before Splitting
Image
Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn's split after six years of dating has rocked fans of the Hollywood couple. According to an April 8 Entertainment Tonight report, the breakup happened weeks before it was made public and "was not dramatic." Apparently, "the relationship had just run its course."

Swift and Alwyn's relationship was incredibly sweet and low-key. They made very few official appearances together over the years, but Swift often alluded to their romance in her music, like when she sang about falling head over heels for the British actor in her song "Gorgeous." The lyrics recall her getting lost in his ocean-blue eyes, make fun of his British accent, and indicate she had a boyfriend when they first met (more on that later).

So, just how did the former lovebirds initially come into contact? The timeline is a little bit fuzzy, but it's believed the pair first met at...

Swift started dating Alwyn, a British actor, in late 2016. Several of the songs on Swift’s 2017 album, reputation, were inspired by the couple’s relationship, including “Gorgeous,” “Call It What You Want,” and “Delicate.”

During lockdown, the two began collaborating on music together: Alwyn ended up as a co-producer on seven tracks featured on 2020’s folklore, as well as co-writing “Exile” under the moniker William Bowery. Alwyn later received a Grammy when folklore won Album of the Year at the 2021 Grammy Awards.

Taylor Swift And Joe Alwyn Break Up After Six Years Of Dating (Exclusive)
Image
Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have called it quits. Et has exclusively learned that the “Lavender Haze” singer and the British actor broke up a few weeks ago.

Et has also learned that the split was amicable and “it was not dramatic.” Et’s told “the relationship had just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows.” Swift, 33, is currently on her The Eras tour, which heads to Tampa, Florida next week.

It wasn’t so long ago when Swift and Alwyn were said to have been in a great place in their relationship. They started dating in late 2016, and a source told Et back in October that they were “doing great” and that their “relationship is super strong.”

That update came just hours after Swift dropped her highly anticipated 10th studio album, Midnights, followed by seven additional songs released in her surprise 3am Edition of the album.

Jackie Chan Used A Great Sitcom Trick To Propel His Career
Image
Jackie Chan utilized a great American sitcom gimmick as a tool to propel his career. Growing up in the Peking Opera Academy, Jackie Chan would begin his career in movies as a stuntman, even having his neck memorably broken by Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon. With his back-to-back hits of Snake in the Eagle's Shadow and Drunken Master in 1978, Jackie Chan became Hong Kong's biggest star in the ensuing years and gradually made himself into a household name worldwide.

Despite some early struggles in breaking into the Hollywood industry, Chan eventually succeeded in doing so with the 1996 release of Rumble in the Bronx, followed by Jackie Chan's 1998 mega-hit Rush Hour. While Jackie Chan's style of action and unique brand of comedy has been key components of his winning formula to success, he has also utilized a few tried and true tricks to achieve stardom. One trick in particular that...

Why Glow Was Canceled After Three Seasons
Image
The 1980s-set comedy Glow tells a riveting story of female wrestlers, but Netflix canceled the popular series prior to season 4. The show followed former friends Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin) and Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie) as they joined the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling — which really did exist — and came to terms with their dramatic past when Debbie's husband, Mark (Rich Summer), was unfaithful with Ruth. The characters found empowerment and confidence while interacting with their manager, Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron).

Glow's cancelation was unexpected, as Netflix had given the series a fourth-season renewal in August 2019 and then changed their minds in October 2020. Netflix's policy about not canceling successful shows explains how some content just doesn't garner enough viewers in enough time to warrant a renewal, but there was a different reason for Glow ending. Given that the season 3 finale had a dramatic cliffhanger and unanswered questions, the fact that there...

‘Funny Girl’ Broadway Review: No Rain On Beanie Feldstein’s Parade, But Expect Some Drizzle
Image
Smartly sidestepping the obvious comparison from the start – the line-reading of “Hello gorgeous” sounds more conversational, less sing-songy than the one etched in our brains for all these decades – Broadway’s new Funny Girl revival doesn’t so much make a grand play for replacement as a peaceful offering for coexistence: The show that made Barbra Streisand a musical theater icon likely won’t do the same for its latest star, but neither is it cause for grumbling how-dare-shes.

Opening tonight at the August Wilson Theatre, Beanie Feldstein is, it turns out, a perfectly fine choice for this Funny Girl, which is not to say she’s perfect, but rather that she’s on equal footing with a just-above-average musical that has always been dominated by several excellent songs and a legendary breakout performance that lifted the show – and its plodding 1968 movie adaptation – well beyond the sum of its parts.

Image
Fans have been convinced for years that Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, are secretly engaged, or even secretly married. Alwyn, who stars in Hulu's upcoming "Conversations With Friends" finally addressed the rumors - kind of.

In a new interview with WSJ. Magazine, he said, "If I had a pound for every time I think I've been told I've been engaged, then I'd have a lot of pound coins. I mean, the truth is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn't say, and if the answer was no, I wouldn't say."

Alwyn confessed that he'd "like to feel slightly less guarded sometimes in interviews or in whatever kind of interactions," but he said, "If you give it to them, it just opens the door."
