A very good series but only for grown-up viewers

An awesome mini-series, and extremely intense

I agree with a previous commentator that stated that it is for adults only (at least in the contrived US context). This was an extreme but very fulfilling look at the realities of the legacy of the long history of Europe, and its nobility, in a world where their relevance is, at best, confused in most people's minds. The clash of the past and present, assorted of beautiful and quite powerful actors, and a plot that remains totally credible, despite its, at times, far-fetched plot twists, make this mini-series a wonderful adventure, in the proud tradition of the French language TV sagas like "Jalna", "L'Amour en Heritage", "Les Deux Alsaces", or "Les Coeurs Brules". Definitely worth watching. But once again, no kids allowed.
