More of a documentary rather than a movie , including also scenes with actors, who play the roles of sexually deviated people. It offers a pretty good explanation regarding sexual deviations by showing the root of the problem during childhood and the manifestation of it during adulthood.
It is really interesting to watch this in 2021 when most of this sexual deviations by 1969 standard became widely accepted and encouraged nowadays.

This documentary is basically an illustration of Freud's book the sexual theory , take the movie as a representation of the multi physiological behaviours related to sexual desire ( lepido ) introduced by Freud.
Also known as "Sesso" or "Sexual Inadequacies" (the title on the Something Weird print) It begins with the birth of a baby and goes down hill from there.
OH GOD THIS IS BAD Rarely do I give up five minutes into a film, but this is one of those movies. Its suppose to be a look at sex through the deviants, what it is is a lot of stilted footage and deep meaningful narration that is suppose to mean something but doesn't. Hoping against hope I started to click the chapter button and was forced to look at bad Italian actors doing bad acting.
Somewhere around the voyeurs I gave up and went to bang my head against the wall. I couldn't find one hard enough so I put on the cooking channel (no of course I didn't I just hit myself over the head repeatedly with a large fish) This is one of those movies that looks like it should be good but when you start to watch it you wonder what in the hell is going on. Irreversible didn't mess with my head this much.
Awful awful awful.
A time killer.
a soul drainer.
and not in a good way.

Alfonso Brescia has tried as director almost all kinds of genres, has not excelled in any. He made many movies with mobsters, starring Mario Merola, a Neapolitan singer/actor. He did not work with big actors, in most of his films he had not very well known Italian actors. Jack Palance was the only big star he had in a single film. This is his only documentary, choosing sex as the subject. In fact, it's a semi-documentary, including also scenes with actors, as usual, non-stars, who play some roles. Not so awful as dbborroughs wrote. I think the 1969 generation had something to learn, even today it would be useful to many who know nothing about sex and sexual deviations.
THE LABYRINTH OF SEX, aka SEXUAL INADEQUACIES, is a mondo-style sex-themed documentary by Italian filmmaker Alfonso Brescia, a man perhaps known best these days for his work making cheap and cheerful sci-fi flicks both before and after STAR WARS. He rarely made mondo movies but this is a fair stab at the genre, although of course like most it's become heavily dated since first release. The documentary offers a narrated exploration of various sexual hangups and topics via filmed sequences involving actors like Franco Rossel playing fetishists and the like. It mostly seems to be an excuse to tackle previously taboo subjects (and show nudity) that wouldn't have been allowed earlier in the decade. The scene of a couple having sex while hooked up to analytic machines while bored technicians record every movement is unintentionally hilarious.
