A team up between The Office stars and Green Day was not on my 2025 Bingo card, but I'm intrigued. The punk rock band known for hits like “Basket Case,” “American Idiot,” and “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life),” are working with two alums of NBC's most popular comedy show on an unexpected new movie. While the film has been described as a comedy, it is not related to the recently released and poorly received Australian version of the long-running show about printer and paper sales. The new film sounds much more exciting.
According to Variety, Live Nation Productions is partnering with Green Day to create a comedy film inspired by the band's crazy early days on the road, and is set to star The Office's Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey. New Years Rev is described as a coming-of-age story about three friends, who will be played by Mason Thames of The Black Phone,...

Listen up, Bub. If you went to see Deadpool & Wolverine on the big screen this summer, you’re far from alone. The third outing for Ryan Reynolds’ Merc With A Mouth was a colossal box office hit, making over $1.3 billion for Marvel. And that, surely, is in part thanks to his long-awaited team-up with Hugh Jackman’s Logan, making up for the misdeeds of 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine in a major way. But unless you caught it multiple times, chances are you didn’t clock all of the film’s rapid-fire gags and abundant MCU references. Fear not. Soon, you can stream Shawn Levy’s threequel to your heart’s content.
Disney has confirmed that Deadpool & Wolverine will be hitting Disney+ from 12 November – so you can revisit it (with subtitles on) and really take in every gasp-worthy insult that crosses Wade Wilson’s lips. And don’t even...

American Idol season 22 Top 10 contestant Kayko gained a huge fan following during his run on the show, and he's been very busy with his music career ever since. Kayko, whose full name is Sam Kelly-Cohen, didn't originally intend to audition for American Idol. Instead, he was the piano accompanist for his friend, Abby Blake, but the judges--Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan--asked him to audition as well. He wowed them with his beautiful original song, "Time of Your Life."
Throughout American Idol season 22, Kayko proved himself to be a phenomenal musician who almost exclusively sang original songs, including "Time of Your Life," "What If?," "How to Live Without You," and "Over You." In addition, Kayko sang "High & Dry" by Radiohead, "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye (ft. Kimbra), and "Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus. Here's what Kayko's been up to since his incredible run on American Idol...

When Pauley Perrette said she had no plans to return to acting, she meant it.
The former actress, once a beloved TV star thanks to a long-running role as forensic scientist Abby Sciuto on the CBS stalwart NCIS, further explained her decision to step away from the limelight in a new interview with Hello! “I’m not ungrateful for the benefits that it gave to me but I’m a different person now and I want to be here for it — the good and the bad and the painful,” she said. “I want to be me all the time, and it takes a good amount of courage for me to say that to myself but it’s authentically how I feel.”
Perrette was cast on NCIS in 2003 after having worked as an actor for nearly a decade on such projects as The Drew Carey Show, Veronica’s Closet, Jesse, Almost Famous and Time of Your Life.

Chicago – When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade—or in my case, when life gives you a denied photo pass, you grab a disposable camera and go full 1990s at a Green Day concert. I was all set to capture every sweat drop and guitar riff from the photo pit, but ironically this photographer was invited to the show without his camera.
No high-tech gear allowed! So, in honor of my teenage angst and Green Day’s prime, I ditched the Dslr and embraced the grainy, unpredictable glory of a disposable camera. If you thought “Dookie” was raw, just wait until you see these photos (above!).

Chicago – Get ready, Chicago! On Tuesday, August 13, rockers Green Day will electrify Wrigley Field with a monumental concert like no other. For the first time ever, the iconic American rock band – formed in Rodeo, California in 1987 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist/backing vocalist Mike Dirnt – will perform both the “Dookie” (1994) and “American Idiot” (2004) albums in their entirety, celebrating both works on their milestone anniversaries in 2024.
Completing the power trio is drummer Tré Cool, who joined the band in 1990. Green Day will deliver a show that spans their signature punk rock, pop-punk, alternative rock, skate punk, and power pop sound. Alongside the classic albums, fans can look forward to hearing fan favorites and new tracks from their latest album. And the other bands appearing … not too shabby … are Rancid, The Linda Lindas and Chicago’s own The Smashing Pumpkins.

Hugh Jackman's performance as Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine has been praised by fans as one of the actor's best, and it might be because he used the Marlon Brando method. While Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) quips his way through the movie, a depressed, alcoholic variant of Wolverine carries the film's emotional weight. Jackman delivers some of the movie's most hard-hitting lines. But, according to a playful video released by Ryan Reynolds, the Australian actor needed some help remembering what they were.
Reynolds released a hilarious behind-the-scenes video on Instagram (which you can check out below) of himself and Hugh Jackman filming a scene from the movie. The fake blooper shows Jackman taking several attempts at the line, "I'm the best there is at what I do. But what I do isn't very nice." After Jackman delivers the line successfully, the camera cuts to Deadpool's coverage, showing the character wearing a...

After 16 years and now 34 movies, fans know to wait until the end credits of a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. Spoiler Warning: This story discusses all kinds of major plot details, including the post-credits scenes, in Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool & Wolverine,” currently playing in theaters.
Throughout “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Ryan Reynolds’ titular Merc with a Mouth exposes the Marvel Cinematic Universe to many things it’d never experienced before: rampant blood and gore, incandescent vulgarity, gleeful references to drug use and effusive descriptions of sexual practices between two men.
Perhaps most surprising, Deadpool’s self-aware snark is never sharper than when it’s slicing through the MCU. It may be the best thing that could’ve happened to Marvel at this moment in its history.
After Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) welcomes Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) to the MCU, he adds that it’s happening at a “low point” for Marvel, a piercing reference to the studio’s misbegotten 2023. Later, Deadpool groans about the multiverse and how underwhelming it’s been as a...

Ever since 2000's "X-Men," the appearance of Marvel Comics guru Stan Lee in a cameo role became a prerequisite for every single Marvel movie made after. After playing a slew of characters with rich inner lives such as "Man in Fair," "Old Man at Crossing," "Waterhose Man" and, his greatest role, "Stan Lee," the filmmakers at Marvel Studios started to get a little more sneaky and clever with inserting Stan's visage into each movie.
Turns out that sneaking Lee into increasingly kooky and weird places was good practice, for when Lee passed away at the ripe old age of 95 in November of 2018, Marvel had to try and find a new way of honoring the tradition without resorting to ghoulishness. While a number of Lee cameos were shot before his passing, there were others that were planned for Lee that never allowed...

“Deadpool & Wolverine” is here and with it are the expectations that go along with it – namely that Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) will annoy the hell out of the more stoic Wolverine (Hugh Jackman); that there will be plenty of cameos from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and beyond); and that the post-credit scenes will leave you bopping out of the theater with a smile on your face.
Let’s tackle that last one today, discussing what happens after Deadpool and Wolverine go on their cross-multiverse journey, facing off against a bureaucratic wonk from the Time Variance Authority (Matthew Macfadyen) and Charles Xavier’s evil twin Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin), who threaten to destroy not only Deadpool’s timeline but all timelines.
Of course, it’s time we issue a severe spoiler warning, as we dig into whether or not there are post-credits scenes and what those scenes entail. Ready to break the fourth wall?...

"Deadpool & Wolverine" isn't just the entry point for Wade Wilson into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it's not just an excuse for Hugh Jackman to collect a paycheck for his return as the beloved mutant from the "X-Men" franchise. You might be surprised to see that the third entry in the "Deadpool" film series is also a love letter to the Marvel movies that came before it from 20th Century Fox.
Not only are there Marvel cameos by a myriad former superheroes, including Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Wesley Snipes as Blade, and Chris Evans as a foul-mouthed Johnny Storm from "Fantastic Four," but Channing Tatum finally gets to live out his dream of playing Gambit, with a look straight out of the X-Men comics of the '90s.

In their third collaboration, director Shawn Levy was never going to be the one to rein in Ryan Reynolds’ taste for quippy zingers and winking meta gags that regularly demolish the fourth wall, especially when the star gets the lead screenplay credit. If you thought Deadpool or Deadpool 2 were heavy on in-jokes, then buckle up, because that shtick is dialed up to radioactive levels in Deadpool & Wolverine. That of course will be welcome news for the franchise’s most ardent admirers, particularly those who look back fondly on Marvel’s Fox era.
Reynolds’ wisecracking mercenary Wade Wilson is at a low point on his timeline, no longer considered relationship material by the love of his life, Vanessa (Morena Baccarin, barely present), and only somewhat buoyed by the affection of his loyal group of friends, a ragtag assortment returning from the first and second films. All he really wants is to matter.

Constructing a soundtrack album is a gentle -- and perhaps lost -- art. This author is old enough to remember the 1990s heyday of movie soundtracks, when film producers would regularly license charting pop hits, obscure deep cuts, upcoming rappers, and underappreciated indie bands to construct carefully curated and meticulously produced albums that lived happily in your friends' cars all summer. There was a time when an unsuccessful film could recoup a lot of its theatrical losses with overwhelming soundtrack record sales. See: "Dead Man on Campus."
As the music industry collapsed in the early 2000s, however, soundtrack records fell out of favor. Movie songs became mere playlists, neither arranged on a CD in any cogent order nor lending themselves toward a general thematic thrust. We '90s teens can now whine (as is our wont) that soundtrack albums are, in the '20s, rarely more than "pile of neat songs.

Chicago P.D. has finished filming for Season 11. And that means Tracy Spiridakos has filmed her final scenes.
Tracy has been an integral part of the Chicago P.D. cast for years, but the Season 11 finale is her final episode.

American Idol fans are fuming after a decision the judges made this week. Sam Kelly-Cohen, also known as Kayko, advanced to the Showstopper round. While viewers are happy for him, they can’t get over what the judges did to his best friend. Keep reading to see why they are so upset.
Kayko’s American Idol Journey Is An ‘Accident’
Kayko auditioned for American Idol with his best friend, Abby Blake. Originally, he set out to play the piano accompaniment for his friend, but the judges asked him to sing something for them. He sang an original song called “Time Of Your Life.”
Even though he wasn’t there to audition for the competition, he wound up being offered the chance to go to Hollywood. He was in disbelief when Katy Perry offered him a Golden Ticket, asking if he wanted to go to Hollywood along with his friend.

Pauley Perrette could be returning to CBS.
The “NCIS” alum has been cast in a lead role in the CBS multi-cam pilot “Broke,” joining previously announced star Jaime Camil. “Broke” hails from writer and executive producer Alex Herschlag with “Jane the Virgin” creator Jennie Snyder Urman set to executive produce. In the project, when an outrageously wealthy trust fund baby (Camil) is cut off by his father, he and his wife move into her estranged sister’s (Perrette) Reseda condo, forcing the two siblings to reconnect.
Perrette’s character is named Jackie, described as a tough, sharp-witted, loving but struggling single mom with a 9-year-old son. Twenty years ago, Jennifer Garner thought her career couldn’t get better. She’d survived nine months of sleeping in a kitchen in Manhattan and eating spaghetti with butter while understudying for an Ivan Turgenev play on Broadway, scored a few walk-on parts on TV, and landed the lead in a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie in which she played a 19th century orphan.

When “9-1-1” returns this fall, there’s going to be a new lady taking all the emergency calls Ryan Murphy can dream up, and her name is Jennifer Love Hewitt — err, Maddie.
During the Television Critics Association press tour Thursday, Hewitt joined her new co-stars to discuss joining the Fox drama for its second season, after leading lady Connie Britton’s made her series exit at the end of her one-year deal — and took 911 operator Abby with her.
Luckily, Hewitt will be picking up that headset to help keep things under control in Season 2, if that’s at all possible. Especially because it sounds like Maddie has some demons to deal with on her own.

Not every actor is a fan of rebooting a beloved series that launched their career. But Neve Campbell is all in for the recently-announced reincarnation of “Party of Five.”
When the actress — who played Julia Salinger on the ’90s Fox drama — appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” Tuesday, she said that she’s totally supportive of the reboot that the original series’ creators have in development at Freeform and she’d love to stop by if she was asked.
“I love the idea of the new reboot because it’s very timely,” Campbell said to host Andy Cohen. “From what I understand [after talking with series co-creator] Chris Keyser… they’re doing it with a Mexican family whose parents have been sent across the border, and they have to figure out how to stay together and be a family and raise each other. I think that’s really poignant and important, and I’m really impressed.

Has the world not seen the last of Julia Salinger?
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live Tuesday, Neve Campbell was asked whether she’d be open to a cameo on the previously announced Party of Five reboot, which back in January landed at Freeform with a pilot-production commitment. The potential series is centered on a first-generation Latino family that has immigrated to the United States.

Former Party of Five and Time of Your Life star Jennifer Love Hewitt is returning to Fox as a lead opposite Angela Bassett and Peter Krause in Season 2 of breakout crime drama 9-1-1, from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear.
Hewitt will play the new character of Maddie, the sister of firefighter Evan “Buck” Buckley (Oliver Stark), who is starting her life over as a 911 operator. (The announcement was made today during Fox’s upfront presentation.)
The introduction of Maddie would help fill the void left by the departure of Connie Britton who played 911 operator Abby Clark in Season 1. Britton had a one-year deal for the show but the producers still hope that she would come back for a few episodes next season to make the transition more seamless. (Britton earlier today was at the NBCUniversal upfront presentation promoting her new Bravo limited series Dear John).
