Thumbs up for this pure pearl of soviet Georgian cinema. Highly recommended and not only for Georgians but for any moviegoer - everybody finds something appealing in this wonderfully developed and very well done film.

As for surrealism, it is exactly what makes to feel this film with its every bit: this surrealism is speaking on the language of every country and every nation.

And if you still doubt a word of mine, just watch this movie and you will know what I was talking about...

The director Eldar Shengelaya is very well known in Georgian movie art. The other highly recommended movies of his are "Tsisperi mtebi anu daujerebeli ambavi" and "Arachveulebrivi gamopena". By the way, all his movies show that he catches both the glimpses of daily life and the meaning beneath them with the pure professionalism and it is just pity he has not directed any movie since 1996.

All in all, watch and enjoy!!!

First i want to tell you that its soundtrack is giya khancheli - s she is there wich as many may say that is one of the best soundtracks of his career

It was filmed in soviet georgia by eldar shengelaia, wich is autor of many other georgian films

Despite its comedic look film contains many philosophy aspects Like freedom of person and we may see the hatred of the soviet regime

And whats important you will be always. Smiling while watching this film

Under the cover of the comedy and double meaning the director managed to avoid the sharp-edged editing of Soviet censorship. The story is set up in unknown place, abstract country, where the majority of society is "normal" and people with different ideas are kept in isolation, treated as criminals or mentally ill, as a danger for others. Wonderful cinematography and soft, delicate humor of the film remains as an unforgettable journey of human spirit.

This movie is masterpiece, but itsn't French, Its Georgian!!! ♥ ♥ ♥
