A classic, a favorite

There were so many great cartoons in the 80s and I guess this one just got lost in the shuffle. I was only 5 when I watched it but I just found an old trinket of Montgomery Moose and it took me a few minutes of searching online to refresh my memory because he only had an M on his shirt and was riding a red caboose. I instantly recognized it as a beloved childhood show of mine. Each episode was only 11 minutes long but packed in a lot of great stories and wonderful characters. It was even my 6th birthday party's theme! I'm going to seek out some of the episodes for my nephew to watch because they just don't make 'em like they used to.

Not only is it fuzzy-wuzzies, but they're also mean for no reason!

Oh great, another fuzzy wuzzy cartoon. Bring out the barf bag and my puke, I could just scream. And not only is it another trip to lala land, it's also a mean spirited one. This supposed "get-along gang" treats Bingo Beaver like junk. Bingo is just a silly little boy who wants to joke around, he is also the only decent character on this junk show, but all the others treat him rudely. I mean come on! Nobody can have a sense of humor? Can't tell if this is worse than those gosh darn Care bears, but it's still pretty bad. This show is awful terrible and mean spirited! The opposite of getting along!!!

Bad... But not the worst of the 80s.

This cartoon is horrible. It basically teaches kids that you can't have your own opinions and you should have the same opinion as them. And people who disagree are losers. This entire show is just bad... and it's very boring. Not recommended.

One of the Best 80's Cartoons Ever

I was only 2 years old when the Get Along Gang premiered. I don't remember watching it when it first premiered on CBS, but my parents taped a few of the episodes for me and my sister.

The Get Along Gang was a bit preachy, but then again, so were a lot of cartoons of the 80's. That's not why I liked the Get Along Gang. I liked it because I am an animal lover, the characters were cute, the episodes were funny, and it taught a good lesson.

Incidentally, just as a side note, the Get Along Gang was not a Disney series, like an earlier review states. The Canadian animation company Nelvana animated the pilot episode, and DIC did the rest of the series. Just clearing that up.

The Get Along Gang shaped my childhood, and I still watch the episodes I have to this day, and I still have my original six plush Get Along Gang members, as well.

Great cartoons in 80s

I watched the Get Along Gang for the first time when I was in France. It was entitled "La Joyeuse Ribambelle." Later, I came to know that the cartoon show was produced in the U.S. With well designed characters, I took fancy of them. The Get Along Gang taught a good lesson which attempt to recognize the importance of friendship and team work over individualism through 27 episodes. I still remember that Catchum Crocodile and his henchman, Leland Lizard try to spoil the joy of the gangs, but their good corporation prevails over their shenanigans. My further research made me found that many good cartoons, such as The Care Bears, My Little Pony, The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin, and The Shirt-Tales, were created in 80s in the U.S. while the Japanese animations were on the rise. Still I miss The Get Along Gang and other U.S. cartoons of the 80s. I recently heard that The Get Along Gang would be reproduced into 3D animation after twenty years of separation.

Great cartoon show of the 1980's!

I remember that show when I was 2 to 4 years old in '84 to '86. I remember some of episodes on that show. I remember the red caboose well that where they hang out on that episode. I used to watch that when I was a toddler at my old house where I grew up. I loved that show but it's great. I miss the show! I remember the moose was wearing the sweater but it said "M" on it. It is the great cartoon show of the 1980's! It is a cool cartoon show that I ever seen. That show was really good that time. I remember that one all-time cartoon for my childhood memories of the 1980's! I remember that girl dog wears a red thing on her head and a dress from her home to go to the caboose to see the gang to hang out. It brings me back to memories for my childhood years when I saw that cartoon on the website. I still remember it.
